This was just a personal project I’ve been working on for a while, but when I saw Ranch Story’s event for the anniversary was themed around “My Story of Seasons” I thought, that’s perfect! And I decided I’d polish it up and put it out there.

It’s made in Renpy and is pretty simple. I used modified game assets for the portraits and backgrounds, as well as some of my own art for CGs. The script incorporates touched up versions of the in-game dialog, but is mostly original. On auto, the total time is about nine hours… but the auto speed is slow and my own test time is much faster than that.

So what’s it about? Well… It’s really just a cute fluffy gay romance. You don’t marry someone based on four conversations, so I had to make more, damn it! On that note, content warning: first and foremost, it’s about a relationship. In the main script there are some minor mentions of sex. And then, there are some optional scenes that go into… more detail… They are skippable! You’re given the option to see them or not.

To answer the question, “What does the Story of Seasons series mean to me?” Well… Honestly, it’s had a lot of influence over the years. Somehow, it’s a reminder to make the most of every minute, as well as the importance of taking things slow. To appreciate the little things and the people around you.
