Love is...

Love is more than wanting someone, lusting them. Love is putting yourself in harms way  to protect them. Love is trying for hours at a time to make them laugh, or even smile. Love is sitting beside them, holding them tight until all their tears are gone, even after they have. Love is respecting someone, allowing them personal space, dignity, freedom. Love is letting them be happy, wanting them to be happy. Love is being there for someone, no matter how far or how difficult the situation. Love is love. Even if they don’t know. Even if they don’t love you back. Even if they love someone else. You can still love and care for them. Even if looking at them makes you want to cry.
