It’s a very long story but their management CONSTANTLY screws them over, the girls have no say in anything. The Secret Love Song video/single is only for the UK and Ireland, that excludes like 95% of their fandom. This in turn makes their fans angry, potentially losing some in the process. AND the girls didn’t want to have that concept for SLS, they wanted a video supporting the LBGT community but instead they’re forced to do a simple video of them walking around London. Not only that but they aren’t allowed to come to America. Their management made them lie about the Salute Tour. The girls weren’t happy with Salute but management forced them to release the album anyway. They wanted Get Weird done their way and done fast but the girls weren’t gonna put out another album they weren’t happy with so they stood up to them and basically told them to fuck off and they were gonna do the album how they wanted, when they wanted, which is why they took a year off. They’re just miserable, they don’t get the credit they deserve and it’s just unfair, they deserve better.
