Mello listened to the other with keen interest;  even if this man wasn't a gifted genius or top of his area of expertise, it didn't mean he wasn't useful and couldn't be an asset to the people trapped in this hotel. If he was well versed in politics, he could certainly be used as a mouthpiece to get others interested in fighting back.   It wasn't like Kira; you wouldn't be killed for trying to rally against the force of this hotel.  More people would likely step forward  in that case.
"I completely agree with the fact that a group should be organized to not only figure out what this hotel is doing, but also how to stop it.  We need to convince as many people as possible  that working together as a single unit is the best way out of this mess. The more people from different backgrounds we have on board, the best chance we have of getting the hell out of here."
The blonde was uncertain what the other meant by "reaffriming the other worlds", but he guessed that the man wanted to make sure that Mello was definitely from a different world than him and had no knowledge of the events of his world. Indeed, Mello had no idea what the Galactic Empire was; to him, it sounded like something out of a sci-fi comic. But then again, the Death Note sounded pretty imaginative too; until he saw it work with his own eyes.
"As for other worlds, yes, I'm fairly sure that I've never heard of your world and where you come from. It  actually sounds pretty fanciful to me, but then again, so do notebooks that kill people and have monsters attached to them. But hey, I saw that with my own eyes. Who am I to say your world- or any other person's world- is made up?"
"And furthermore, if a group is to be established to dismantle this place, then I think that you should be at the very least its voice, even if you don't want or are unable to make a lot of decisions. I'm all for you and I being the leaders.  You may not be top of the class,  but that doesn't mean you aren't intelligent and shouldn't be taken seriously."
Mello was slightly nervous as to how that statement was going to go over with the man. He was honestly trying to compliment the guy, but some people took compliments badly. It was then Mello realized he'd forgotten one of the most basic human rules of courtesy. As a successor to self-proclaimed justice with a reputation to back it up, the blonde was embarrassed to have overlooked such a thing.
"I'm sorry. I don't think I've properly introduced myself. My name is Mello. Or at least, that's what I go by. Since Kira isn't here, and I really do kind of miss my name, I don't see any harm in telling you my real name. It's Mihael Keehl."
