don't dismiss other people's realities. accept them and move on
Be kind. To yourself, to your friends, to our Earth, to the universe. And good things will come your way. And not because it's some sort of negotiation, but because the love and light you put out into this world will fill you up as well and they will attract the most beautiful of opportunities and energies this life has to offer . Be kind love.
to fall in love a thousand times over, to hold hands at night while walking by the sea, to watch the stars fall while wishing for all the beauty in the world and for the chance to witness it together. To hug tight in random moments for the sake of comfort.
If the Earth doesn't go up in flames, wouldn't it be fun to collectively pretend that Sherlock Holmes was real? And delete all evidence that he is fictional? And just confuse the shit out of future historians?
Hovering over valleys, crowds and markets, looking at the view and moving around... always moving...adoring every bit of this reality, finding comfort in every ray of light and in every fold of the shadows, in every drop of rain and sea, amongst crowds of people and in the confidence and two-people seat... yet, that hollow feeling in my chest remains. I laugh, I run, I act, I rest, I hunt, I let the warm glow of the sun burn away the sorrows of the past, yet, there it is again, that hollow feeling in my chest, waiting at the end of the ride... May a brighter morning come, may the sea wash away our scars, may that warm glow of the sun sink in and purify the last of us
I think a lot about how we as a culture have turned “forever” into the only acceptable definition of success.
Like… if you open a coffee shop and run it for a while and it makes you happy but then stuff gets too expensive and stressful and you want to do something else so you close it, it’s a “failed” business. If you write a book or two, then decide that you don’t actually want to keep doing that, you’re a “failed” writer. If you marry someone, and that marriage is good for a while, and then stops working and you get divorced, it’s a “failed” marriage.
The only acceptable “win condition” is “you keep doing that thing forever”. A friendship that lasts for a few years but then its time is done and you move on is considered less valuable or not a “real” friendship. A hobby that you do for a while and then are done with is a “phase” - or, alternatively, a “pity” that you don’t do that thing any more. A fandom is “dying” because people have had a lot of fun with it but are now moving on to other things.
I just think that something can be good, and also end, and that thing was still good. And it’s okay to be sad that it ended, too. But the idea that anything that ends is automatically less than this hypothetical eternal state of success… I don’t think that’s doing us any good at all.
If I have ever learned anything through life, it's those four things :
- TRUST your intuition! Your instincts and gut feelings! Your mind and your heart can speculate a LOT, but there are some things that you just *know*, some things that just feel right and the more you follow your intuition, the more helpful insights there will be.
-Be kind to people and let them prove you wrong. Don't be rude to others, everyone has their own shit to deal with and being kind isn't going to cost you anything. You can let off steam in other ways, that are not harmful to anyone. And allow yourself to be surprised.
- Things do fucking get better. I know that it sounds stupid, but eventually- somehow - the pieces start falling into place.
-Modesty is overrated. Don't go on the other end of the spectrum and be arrogant or overbearing, but recognize your advantages and use them! No matter what that is, your brains? your looks? your confidence? your curiosity, ambition, creativity? whatever it is, recognize its existence and work with it! The world is your stage, own it.

My favourite subject is history, as in the Library and Gardens of Alexandria, Greek mythology, Indigenous people's of America culture, the history of astronomy and astrology, revolutions etc.
NOT as in racism and slavery, fascism, sexism, 'make *certain country* great, again', dictatorship, homophobia, praise of a certain religion etc.
Yes learning about the shit of history is extremely important, but some teachers and historians praise these dehumanizing aspects of history ( mainly cishet old white men, who would have guessed ) and I don't want to be associated with them.
a few days back a friend told me that I reminded her of Måneskin. I- I love me-
This world will never be enough for me. I'll never get to lead an army into battle and drink to our victory. I'm never gonna be the first wanderer to map the skies and lands of an unknown world. But, gods, will I try to. My mind is one of an explorer, a wild soul that cannot be tamed, but can be lost in books, music and poetry. A spirit that is kept alive thanks to the beauty of nature, whose eyes are filled with stars. Such a soul knows no death. I have roamed the Earth since the begging of time, searching for that spark of excitement that will ignite a fire. I have had millenia to adore what I am and what I've conquered and learned, but it will never be enough. I don't want it to be enough. An explorer with no places to go, or no hope to drive them, is dead. Thus, I have given myself to immortality.
oh to meet up with friends at 5am and find a spot in the forest where we'll sit and read poetry, make jokes about it and then start talking about fantasy creatures and how they could be hiding in any corner
yesterday I finished Anne with and "e" and I adore it with my whole existence. It is now my favourite series next to Sherlock. Honestly it's on a whole other level. The characters, the issues addressed, the scenery, the music, everything was perfect.
