So Tumblr banned a friend of mine recently.
The reason they said was because someone requested it.
I asked if the person who requested my friend's ban, is a person who Tumblr had banned earlier.
Tumblr said this was the case.
I asked Tumblr who reported this member to the admins.
They told me it was my friend who was just banned.
I asked if there was any other validations for the two bans.
They said that the person my friend reported, had broken multiple rules of the website.
They then said, that my friend didn't seem to have broken any rules, but they were unwilling to reinstate their account.
So let me get this straight.
My friend finds someone breaking the rules, they report them to the Tumblr admin, the Tumblr admin checks the suspected user's account, they find that they have broken the rules, they ban them, all good so far, then the person THEY JUST BANNED, SOMEHOW reports the whistleblower friend of mine, they ban my friend without doing any checks whatsoever, and do you know what the best part is, the only reason the rule-breaker knew who reported them, is because the Tumblr admin...
TOLD THEM WHO IT WAS!
