Still practising.
The rat was unrelated. She just seemed sort of mad at me for sitting for so long without paying any attention to her.

Happy Birthday, Undertale!
When @krisrix and I played this game together, we were taken with Toriel right away, and immediately started yelling “MOM! MOM!” all the time. When she told us to wait, and then went off, we really did wait. We waited more than a half hour... We didn’t want to disappoint Mom!

Aedre and Zenariae
Real books!
Something given to Aedre. I didn’t follow the description word for word, but I ran with the gist. \:p/ Colour practice.
Just practising with some things. The cropped one is the version I liked, but I think Kris would be mad if I didn’t post the more-full one too n.n;; I’m happy with the detailing. Design wise it’s pretty close but I’d have to play with the structure itself some more.
Cantonese-French part demon, and still best character probably based on a lava lamp.
revisiting stuff!
Did drawing work today, and then I also managed to fit in some ‘cooldowns’ at the end!
@krisrix and I watched a K-drama recently. It’s a bit late to really break it down, and I’d hate to spoil any of it, but I really liked the personal trainer’s character.
Much of the show was really well written - and there were some very lucid points made in it. Not a lot of characters are written from this particular perspective. I think as someone who’s had long stays too, I can relate to a lot of his attitude. I wonder where the inspiration for this character came from - it’s hard to imagine there wasn’t some personal contact somewhere in the production somewhere. This particular character could have been a lot more cliche than it was. Rather than just for drama’s sake, I rather felt like it was someone I could relate to - which doesn’t really happen a lot, particularly in television shows.
It was nice. And I was glad to hear he won an award for the acting...! I could have watched this one a lot more :p
Aedre’s had kind of a tough year. Wish I had more time to do something more with all of it :p
I’ve noticed sometimes people’s mouths turn up when they’re trying not to cry. :X A hard part of being an artist is noticing stuff... At least I can’t remember the incident :p
Aedre is usually the type that doesn’t really let himself, but it would probably be better for his health once in a while. --He probably thinks he’ll get ninja dunked instantly or something. Though, I’m not really sure where he thinks all this bully alpha is even coming from. It must be personal...
Drawing for fun! It’s a miracle! \:D/
The stream went well, thanks everyone for coming and supporting us. : j
Crocodile King and Wanderer by SimonGannon
Something to watch out for in the coming months...
MONUMENT Redux. This is Crocodile King. For those who missed the first printing, we’re redoing all the stories to be more narrative, and with that, revamping designs and settings. Should be interesting, even for those who bought the 8-page originals.
Some simple sketches of Kannao I was implored to post ; j
I work in manga studio with the Frenden brushes. My sketches are always pretty small and fat. I’m used to working traditionally, and while I usually draw quite large on paper, I feel more like I can actually feel the page when I use pencils that are very thick and dark digitally. Most of the time, I sketch in very low resolution and raise it for inks.
I’m very much looking forward to trying out Mischief, which is a scaling art program. I’ll try to post about my experiments there...!
It’s a little easier drawing from one’s head than based off other designs, but this is what the comic would look like if I did it, I guess :P Kanji looks a bit more English punk than perhaps he is presented, but I think it suits him :p And to me, Naoto’s worship of manly sentai gives her a distinct 70′s look. Their inner selves as I see them shimmer out onto the surface despite me :p
(I guess I wasn’t done. Aedre’s one of those strange people where becoming a Capsuleer actually mellowed him out a bit :p)
(I haven’t had much time to do much lately - so I stopped and made a bit of time to draw for myself, did a bunch of sketches of Aedre’s life)
