Ouuuhhg, Simon slipping into pet space and shyly butting his head against Dark's shoulder or back to get attention...

I imagine Simon is super intimidated by Dark at first, maybe seeing them as the Boss™, so avoiding them out of fear.
Oh, but he accidentally slips around them and is sososo scared! He's still not too comfortable being small around the Egos yet, why did his dumb brain have to regress around the BOSS of all people?!
Simon doesn't realize he's whining until Dark looks up from their book and asks if he's ok.
Next thing Simon knows, he's got his head in Dark's lap while they scratch behind his ears and rub his belly and ohhhh. Is this what it's like to be loved?
Dark is prone to angry outbursts sometimes, but nothing cools them down faster than Simon resting his head on their shoulder and whining.
"Oh no, pup! Mommy's not mad at you. I could never be mad at my sweet little one-Wilford, stop laughing or istg-"

I hc that Dark is the most fluent in Korean(idk why, it just feels right), so I can see them speaking to Simon in Korean. Just to help him slip a little bit further into that calmer headspace. He doesn't understand his Mama, but he can tell by their tone that they love him!
Dark giving Simon simple little tasks to do around the Manor so he feels like he has a purpose. Sending him off to find something or someone, asking him to count all the doors on the first floor for a definitely important project Mommy's working on, ect.
Also teaching Simon tricks! Dark teaching Simon how to hold a treat on his nose and wait for Mama to say "Ok!", teaching Simon to come stand next to them when they say "Heel!"(That last one is especially helpful when Simon is about to eat something off of the floor)
"Oh, you're far too little for that, my darling. Here, let me handle it." Omg Simon has NO idea how to handle someone stepping in on his behalf and taking care of him. He's always been super independent, even as a physical child, so Dark caring for his needs is sometimes a little jarring. Think shelter puppy to spoiled puppy pipeline.
If Simon needs gear, he's got it. Sometimes collars are too restrictive for him, but Dark has a collection of cute ones with custom tags for when he needs a reminder that he's wanted and loved.
Yandere introduces Simon to the concept of Kemonomimi, and Dark swears they had a heart attack from cuteness aggression. From there Simon finds German shepherds and is like: "Mama, that's me!! OwO"
