Recently got back into Marvel (thank you Thunderbolts) and decided to create a side-blog to just have for whenever my brain decides to go back to this piece of media that took over my middle school years once upon a time.

Kind of funny how when you're obsessed with a certain character their mere presence on your screen can lift your mood. Like yeah I have probably like 10 diagnosed and undiagnosed ways my brain works atypically but one of those quirks makes it possible for The Character to salvage my whole day.

BTW when you encounter a character and think "What's this guy's fucking problem?" that's your body trying to give you an out before you fall into obsession.
normal people would rather be part of the avengers. but when i saw this gathering of mentality unstable, depressed losers... i thought i'd fit right in
As an excuse to talk about Thunderbolts, I asked my brother if he'd gone to see it with his boyfriend - he said no (it was Fantastic Four instead) - so then I asked him if his boyfriend had seen Thunderbolts, and that was a yes.
I asked if his boyfriend had liked Thunderbolts, and he made a sound with a face that said, "No, he didn't. He thought it was disappointing" or some shit like that - so I asked, "Did he like Fantastic Four or Thunderbolts better?" He answered the former.
So then I showed him Thunderbolts, and he spent most of it talking about how lame and stupid John was and how annoying he found Bob.
Honestly,, I shouldn't have been surprised, but by the end of it I was sat thinking; "Oh yeah, forgot not everyone is a mentally ill queer person who can appreciate the finer things in life 🙄"
i love john walker bc he’s like the annoying big brother figure everyone can hardly stand being in the same room as for more than 10 seconds. rage baits everyone within a 3 mile radius simply by being alive. MANfailure to the max. wears a stupid little hat. idiot. put him in 10 more movies.
Been listening to a lot of Twenty One Pilots lately and crying over how fitting some of the lyrics are for them either individually or as a group and I just,,,
Not Walker specific, but the super soldier serum gives them an enhanced metabolism so they eat much more than the average person. Walker, not knowing this, unintentionally underfed himself in the in-between period when he was working for Val with no checks or balances about his well-being
The Thunderbolts are his now, even if he still dislikes them (lies!!!), and God help anyone if they injure his friends - think feral dog who's only current sense of comfort has been taken away, he will bite
Picture of Lemar, Olivia, and him on his bedside table, plus one of his son. Fingerprints are smudged all over the glass
If Bucky or Yelena tell him to do something, despite massive amounts of complaining, it gets done in near record time
Nice, but an absolute b*stard about it ( "Eat the d*mn food or don't, Robert, I don't care." followed by him leaving a full on meal outside of Bob's door and him lurking to see if it gets eaten)
Bonds with Alexei over awful war movies that they like to (very loudly) critique. Bucky joins in sometimes
Fights like cats and dogs with Ava, but respects that she came back when she could've left the rest of them in the vault
Farm boy Walker, specifically sheep though because the blighted idiots are always trying to die (Despite my unsuccessful application to Vet Med, I did a decent stint on a sheep farm during the height of lambing season in the uk - think gloves to the shoulders, oh yeah)
I think his comic backstory (the fire) adds a lot more complexity to his story, and produces great potential for a fear of fire/dislike of heat in general
He likes using the punching bag for cardio but thinks the rowing machine is underrated, and will go on a rant about it (sue me, I want fictional characters to enjoy my sport, rather than any more popular ones)
His dad was not nice in the slightest, but not physically abusive - this is where he gets his temper from
Chews on the end of his pen when he's bored during a meeting and doesn't realise until it's pointed out
