Yvette Penn is a Native American girl who recently moved off her nation’s reservation. Yvette is only nineteen years old but she feels like she needs to explore the world. Her whole life she has been learning the culture of her people and decided it was time for a change. While she will always hold her culture near her heart she wants to explore what else the world has to offer.
The first friend she made when she moved was Sylas Peck. He lived across the road from her. He was kind and sweet and offered to show her around the town. They quickly hit things off and before she knew it they were dating! He is absolutely her prince charming and makes her world stable. Though Yvette does have a problem with jealousy. When she heard that Sylas was looking for a roommate she understood his need. What she didn’t understand is why he didn’t put ‘no women’ in his ad for a roommate.
Due to this error in her eyes Yvette was furious with Sylas when she discovered Skyla would be moving in. Especially since she would be taking over Sylas’s room. Bitter on her end when Yvette first met Skyla she warned her of the trouble she would face if she touched her boyfriend. Skyla already a very timid soul pleaded and stated that nothing would ever happen between them. Yvette knew better than to believe this girl but Sylas already argued the fact she had no choice in who his roommates were going to be.
Skyla stood in her new make shift bedroom. She felt uncomfortable calling it her room considering it really belonged to Sylas. Part of her felt like she was enclosing on his space and hoped he didn’t mind. He is very thoughtful but it all could be an act, she has to remember that. Sometimes the people you think the nicest are truly the cruelest behind masks.
“You have to stop this, Skyla” she told herself as she over thought living with this new stranger. She knew absolutely nothing about him but he was her escape out of her parents house. A part of her felt sad for leaving behind her mother but she couldn’t think about that. She has to think about her future and where she wanted to go with her art. She wasn’t the greatest but she knew with practice she could get better.
She was determined to try and change her negative thinking to positive thinking. She knew it’s what had to be done if she had any chance at moving on with her life. A part of her wanted to tell Sylas everything she had been through. Yet she wanted to keep her guard up in case something was to go wrong. What if he was like her father? What if he was kind and gentle? She didn’t know and that’s why she wants to see how the next few days went.
Sylas: “So as I said on the phone I will sleep on the couch and you can stay upstairs.
Skyla: “T-Thank you for being kind enough to let me sleep in your bedroom until we move. I promise I won’t bother you or really get in your way.”
Sylas: “Why do you think you would bother me? This house is as much mine as it is yours right now. Feel free to roam as you please and do what you want. You’re not a prisoner here so don’t stay cooped up all the time, it’s not healthy.”
Skyla: “ I won’t! I love to paint and I have some supplies with me. So you’ll be able to find me outside a lot painting!”
Sylas: “ Good! I am glad to hear that you have a hobby you’re interested in. There is a second room upstairs that is very tiny that had some old items of mine. I’ll clean it out and move my exercise equipment in there and then we can get you an easel to paint with in the bedroom. There is a fantastic view out the windows. “
Skyla: “Oh wow! That is so generous of you! Thank you so much, I already feel at home here.”
Sylas smiled at Skyla and motioned for her to come inside. Something inside him told him allowing this girl into his home could be dangerous. He didn’t know her or her story but he trusted her somehow even though she was a stranger. He wasn’t sure what was to come but knew she needed him and that’s what mattered.
Sylas Peck is known as your typical jock in school. He has always been obsessed with working out and staying as fit as possible. He rarely eats junk food and hates the thought of fast food. He works hard to motivate others and has his whole life. He has always seen himself as a leader especially while playing sports throughout high school. Sylas’s mother died when he was a young age leaving his little brother Finley, and him to be raised by his father. His father worked day and night to make sure the boys he treasured so much were taken care of.
Once Sylas was 19 he started working for a local gym as a trainer. While also going to school he thought it best to seek out a roommate so that he could move out of his one bedroom home. He saw no point in living in the empty house by himself any longer and missed having company around. In his roommate search he found a girl in need of desperate help. She didn’t have time to wait for them to find an apartment and asked if she could move in and sleep on the couch. Sylas was perplexed as he considered the idea and eventually gave in. Though instead he set her up in his large master bedroom and decided he would take the couch. He knew deep in his heart he needed to care for this girl and dig to find out what past she was hiding.
Skyla Brady is your average girl with a few twist and kinks. She always puts on a brave face and is often hard to read. There are few that are close to her and fewer that she trusts. Growing up her parents were very sheltering and instant that she follow in their footsteps. Her father shoved the idea of law school down her throat all her life. He was constantly pushing and prepping her in school so that she would follow the same path as he did. Skyla’s mother while supportive of this decision always knew her daughter had different desires. She knew that Skyla was interested in arts and crafts and wanted to show her own expressions through art.
Her mother dared never speak out against her father. He was very short tempered and would often yell. He was very much emotionally abusive against the girls even if no physical. Due to the oppression she felt as a teenager Skyla left home at the age of eighteen. She took the first roommate posting that she saw which lead her to Sylas.

Feeling Peachy - Peach Hair Recolor Pack
By request, I have recolored base game hairs for children and toddlers, vintage glamour stuff hair, and my 13 cc toddler hairs in my new peach color. I also added on Nolan’s hairs because I needed one of them for my peach sim. If you have any more requests for peach hair let me know. If you want to do some peach recolors yourself and upload them, you can get the action here (as well as the skin and eyes pictured above).
For the 13 cc toddler hairs, and the nolan hairs, you will need the meshes which you can find links on those posts. For the vintage glamour recolors you will need that gamepack for them to work. This color is sorted at the end of my 64 color palette, just so you know where to find it :)
The “All Merged” file is for anyone who already has all of the meshes installed and has Vintage Glamour :)
