A look of confusion washed over the blonde’s face, why was Ardyn saying this to him all of a sudden. Was something going to happen to him? Zenos was confused and concerned but let none of that show. Showing fear is a weakness and he was not weak,

“My Chancellor, I won’t let a single savage any where near you. If some how they do, I will make them pay with their lives. I’ll travel through the seven hells and back for you.”

He grinned happily, gently pushing back some of Ardyn’s hair from his face. There was nothing this man wouldn’t do for his Chancellor, the one person he could call his first love and he wasn’t going to let anything horrible happen to him so long as he lived.

The spark of hatred put a grand old smile on the blonde’s face, there it was. The primal anger of a human being, it made him want to pluck more out of the prince, peel away all of his walls until there was nothing but raw rage towards him, but he was told by Ardyn not to, it would ruin it for them both later.

“Prove me wrong then, savage prince. I want to see you success just to prove me wrong and if you don’t, then I’ll have the satisfaction of watching your crumble.”

Zenos raised a brow, letting his arm rest on the hilt of his swords. This boy was really thinking about taking down a whole empire and rebuilding his own. A rather stupid idea but it would amusing to watch from the side lines.

“Curiosity one could say, seeing that you and I are both Princes from a nation, one completely different from the other of course. Some entertainment from watching you fail will be a delight really.”
