I'll be sharing some recolors and (a few) conversions from one age group to another. nothing fancy, I'm totally new to some of this. (also trying to understand blender did make me cry at least once)

I've been working on a free resource website for Sims 4 CC creators called Resources4CC. It's a directory of 100% free tutorials, assets, and useful websites related to creating Sims 4 custom content of all kinds: maxis match, alpha, script mods, meshing, recolors, and more.

If you'll get use out of this site and want to help it grow, please reblog this post to spread the word :)

Over my years making CC, I've often ran into problems finding tutorials, graphics, and tools. People share them on forums, on Tumblr, on YouTube, and even their own websites! So I decided to start R4CC for fellow CC creators who would like a sortable list of free resources, all gathered onto one convenient site.

Note: All the entries link off to the original pages. Nothing but the occasional thumbnail image is hosted on R4CC.

On R4CC, you'll find:

TUTORIALS made by the community for creating CC of all varieties, as well as for using common programs.

ASSETS including patterns, color palettes, graphics, fonts and more.

WEBSITES full of their own tutorial and asset libraries, as well as inspiration for CC, help forums, game mods, and other community resources.

But first, a cry for help. This is a Herculean task, yes. I'm an ambitious fool. While I did my best to start the site off with plenty of resources (99 entries, to be exact), it's very incomplete! Do you know of something that could be a great fit for the site? Suggest it via the contact page! The form helps me stay organized and makes sure I won't miss anything, so please don't send recs thru Tumblr. Questions and other comments are encouraged!

How do the directories work?

Directories are split into 3 broad categories:

1. Tutorials is for the how; written and video tutorials and program walkthroughs.

2. Assets will cover the what; free design resources and downloads.

3. Websites is the where; free programs and community sites, as well as websites that consolidate assets and tutorials themselves.

Some websites contains massive amounts of tutorials and assets (ex: the S4S forums). In these cases, R4CC will point you towards the homepage or subpages in the websites directory. Select tutorials and assets are still spotlighted, but most won't be catalogued. If you can't find the tutorial or asset you're looking for, give that directory a search!

What is R4CC's AI content policy?

No AI. I only feature visual resource websites that prohibit AI content, programs without AI features, and 100% human-made assets and tutorials. If you spot slop, alert me! Due to AI disclosures not being universal, the onus of identification falls on the consumer; I greatly appreciate your help in keeping R4CC and the CC community at large authentic.

Are you planning to add more directories?

As of right now, I can't think of any categories that would warrant their own directory as opposed to a filter tag. There will be many more filters to come as new resources are added.

To suggest content you think I should add to the site or to report issues, please use the contact form to let me know.

I want my content removed from the site.

Message me on Tumblr (quicker response) or through the contact form and I will remove it ASAP, no questions asked. I will also avoid including your work in future updates. If you're still okay with it being included in future updates, please let me know when you're requesting removal so I don't add you to that list!

I want to change something about how my content appears on the site.

Message me on Tumblr or use the form to get in touch. If you want to be credited by a different username, have your entry link to a different site, if I got something wrong, etc. I will update it ASAP. Hell I'll put sparkles on your entries or decorate them a bit if you ask me to a little whimsy is never bad

Will you add a search bar to the site?

Don't ask me no personal shit like this. (I don't know how to; help wanted!)

Do you want help with the site?

If you'd like to volunteer something, then feel free to DM me with your ideas. Right now, I'm not actively looking for anything except more to catalogue! (And maybe that search bar...)

Some of the filters are empty!

As of right now, there are 99 total entries but you may notice that 4 filters have zero results. A couple of things and projects have come up that require the majority of my attention, so I can't spend the absolutely heinous amount of time per day I was spending on the site before.

Because of that, I decided it was best if I went ahead with launching. It contains a lot of useful stuff already, plus if people really like it, that'll help me justify prioritizing it also my ADHD is entirely unmedicated so if it just sits there I am definitely gonna forget I even made it. Most importantly though, some very kind simmers might suggest things while I'm busy.

Updating entries takes a few minutes, but searching for them can take a lot longer - so IMO, it's better to open up that possibility instead of letting it collect dust!

Thanks for being so supportive of me over the years. I hope this site can give back to the community a bit and help spread some knowledge :)

gay gauges (gayges??)

the game has a really simple pair of gauges but I wanted some with pride flags. I am definitely not the first person to make pride flag edits of these, but I couldn't find any when I searched google for them so. I did it myself.

with custom swatch thumbnails! (except for the 3 striped flags bc there's no need to)

let me know if anything is weird or messed up! and I'm open to ideas for more swatches (pride flags or otherwise)

I successfully recovered my lost son Felix, restoring my A-Z challenge to 7 of 24 children!

luckily I had saved the family in the gallery right before the 2 newest additions, so I basically just yoinked him from that family and cheated back his relationships/milestones/age progress

unfortunately, the family portrait won't show everyone, so now Emily is missing from the portrait, even though she for sure is still a part of the family. siiiiiiigh, I wish a modder would make a more comprehensive max increase mod so that the portraits/CAS would work. oh well!

so. apparently even with mods to increase the household limit, the limit still exists and if you modify that household in CAS, it just obliterates a random sim from the household

i didn't even notice until i renovated my entire sims' house and noticed that my family inventory had 3 items previously in Felix's inventory (my toddler sim)

the game. fucking. deleted Felix from existence. he was no longer in the family tree, none of his relationships existed, etc

i literally almost cried, i'm so upset. but maybe that's partially bc it was such a shocking discovery at 4am

I guess I will deal with that fuckery another time

my sims had their 2nd set of twins, Grace and Henry, bringing the total count to 4 kids, 1 toddler, and 2 infants (bc i aged them up a day early)

immediately upon aging them up, they both got the smile milestone :,)

also i didn’t realize infants could socialize with each other?? but i got a notif that they became good friends, and it was bc they kept smiling at each other ahhhh that’s so cute!!!

Kindermade Corner Table Recolor

15 colors in 3 flavors + 2 additional variants, bringing you a grand total of 47 new swatches

each color has a solid version, a version with white inner shelves, and a version with black inner shelves (the black and white shown is the only b&w swatch bc the vanilla item has the other swatch already)

not pictured, but I also included a pink and purple swatch to compliment the vanilla purple and pink swatch, and added a (better) orange and yellow swatch (bc the vanilla item's yellow part looks bad)

only the top part has slots, unfortunately, and the game is finicky about the size of the items that can be put in them. you can safely put 3 items on it before it starts fighting you lol, OR just put moveobjects on and go to town

Kindermade desk and chair recolors

28 new swatches for the chair, and 40 new swatches for the desk!

idk why the base game chair didn't have the same original color swatches as other Kindermade furniture. I made them myself so they would better match the base game desk swatches (for example, the orange and yellow chair previewed above)

for the desk, every color has a white wood drawers swatch and a color drawers swatch. I have been trying to be consistent with the colors but there may be some variation. I hope you enjoy the extra colors!

I noticed while in-game that the description for the desk says it matches the desk, which is obviously wrong because, yknow, it is the desk. it was supposed to say it matches the CHAIR.

I fixed it, but if you don't care then you don't need to redownload it lol

thought i would share the sims family i've been super invested in

i initially was going to use the couple for a scenario, but after naming them, i thought it would be fun for them to have a bunch of kids and complete the alphabet! kinda like a self-imposed challenge/scenario? idk

so far i have 5 of 24, so it's going pretty slowly lol but i have another pair of twins on the way! (I actually picked out all their names already x2 to account for genders bc i'm trying not to cheat for that part lol)

i color-code my sims, which is the only way i can tell Chrissy and Delilah apart lmao

two-toned Natural Lips (Nords edit)

I use this mod* from Nords to give my sims a natural look for their lips, but I noticed there weren't any options for sims who have a darker upper lip. so I combined some of the options to make some!

the bottom 2 examples are from the same sim, showing how it looks when you use lipgloss that is partially transparent.

*i only use the first 5 swatches, the ones without added color, and i use a copy i made that uses the occult mouth slot instead of mouth crease slot

Kindermade Changing Table recolors

you'll need the "Growing Together" pack for this item

20 new swatches! I included 2 black&white variants instead of 1. one is all black except for the white top cushion (bottom left), the other is all white except for the black table top (bottom center).

this furniture piece is a bit misleading on what are slots for deco and what are part of the furniture, so I made an extra demonstration to show where the slots are

(slot 5 can also be 2 smaller slots, bumping the total to 6)
