Temple of Jumbok IV Default Replacements

Refresh your Twikkii Island ruins with this set of Bon Voyage default replacements for The Sims 2!

This one has been a long time coming and I'm happy to finally be able to release it!

Temple of Jumbok IV

The fountain is a really large item and it has a large texture to go with it - 2048x2048. The main part of the texture comes from TS4 Jungle Adventure, and I remapped the entire object to fit. It took days. The monkey face was hand painted by my husband to match. 🤩 The default replacement is the mossy green version. The recolour file contains the sandstone, faded colour, vivid colour and green and gold options.

Backyard Pyramid Column

The column replacement is repository linked to the fountain.

Backyard Pyramid Pieces

I rebuilt all six pieces of the Backyard Pyramid from scratch. My pyramid has four tiers instead of three and straight sides. All pieces are repository linked to the inner corner. I used textures from the Jungle Adventure ornate stone wall and the pool trim to make a repeating pattern.

I also added two separate recolours for the stairs.

Unknown Ancient Leader

This is a replacement for the stone statue. It has two textures. The skeleton and spear can be recoloured separately.

Wall of Significant Confusion

I took the calendar out of the glass case and used it to replace the wall carving. It comes in the four colours above.

Wall and Flooring

The wall lines up with the pattern on the pyramid pieces.

The llama replaces the monkey tiles and the poison symbol replaces the snake. I adjusted the texture file for the other tiles so they repeat on a 2x2 basis. The broken tiles look nice mixed in among the more intact ones.

Instructions:

Files in the CEP folder need to go in your program files, under zCEP-EXTRA. For Ultimate Collection users, this is:

Program Files\Origin Games\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\Double Deluxe\Base\TSData\Res\Catalog\zCEP-EXTRA

I am gratefully including HugeLunatic's Pyramid CEP Extra.

All other files go in your Downloads as normal.

Remember that you can only have one default replacement for each item. These are compatible with catalogue reorganisers like Phaenoh's, but not any other mesh or texture default replacements.

LordCrumps' shadow file is required and included. As always, toss the shadow file if you already have one in your downloads folder.

4T2 Eyes

Could not remember if I have uploaded these or not, but here are my 4T2 eyes, defaults to replace maxis eyes colours plus new icons to match in CAS!

They were made to go along with an equal genetics mod, so if you want to make them "un-equal" its reversing the steps to make them equal I guess!

I have included edits to some occult defaults that I use, remove them if you don't have the mods etc, but replace my files over theirs for changes to take effect. Mods that I have edited are;

Tori Hood Deco Defaults

I didn't know if I was ever going to get around to doing more hood deco defaults, but @narcysims requested if I can default some of the Asian-themed hood deco from BV with hood deco from leoz's 4t2 conversions. I put it at the top of my to do list since I wasn't motivated to work on anything else. I did both sets of tori gates/posts/walls. I didn't do the bonsai pines since tvickie's 4t2 plant defaults also default the hood versions.

Half of the defaults have 2 different mesh versions since I couldn't decide. All except the wood tori wall share textures with the lod of the telling tori gate from buy mode so they have custom txmt/txtr with the shpe defaulted to use them instead of conflicting with that object. I got rid of seams on some meshes and added backsides to the ribbons on the wish board (after I took the previews). I resized most textures though 3 of the gates still have 1024x1024 since they were too blurry made smaller. The wish board is 2.8k poly and rest are around 250-1.8k.

The Last of the Menses... for now.

Alright, I am at a point where I want to be done with my adult male defaults for now. Originally I wanted to default all the hat hairs from the SP/EPs and try going for a “defaults only” game but I decided to use some hiders for most of those for now and keep my beloved massive folder of custom hairs, lol. So this is the last few hairs I needed to default after the mass hiding of 2023. Additionally, I have been working on organizing a spreadsheet that lists the defaults (and hiders) I use from others and gives links to them so that those who might be struggling to find all the clay hairs could have a little help.

I answered a question on GoS yesterday about glasses defaults which made me want to replace some glasses. Here’s uuaccessoryeyeglassesthinrims and uuaccessorysunglassesthinrims replaced with 4t2 SP05 Large Round by @pxlbob, with clear glass by @peppermint-ginger (can’t find the original post) and green glass by me.

The regular glasses normally only appear for CU and AF/EF, so I’ve unhidden the other ages. The sunglasses are normally hidden for all ages, and I’ve unhidden those too. Clear glasses are towniefied, sunglasses are not.

Accessories are… weird, so make sure you delete Accessory.cache after installing or uninstalling this. Also, accessories do not auto-update so you will have to update Sims manually by opening the change appearance window. No need to make any changes, just open the window and save.

Hi all! I decided to revamp my default hairs folder with only clay hairs and where I didn't find any replacements that I liked I decided to learn to default replace and do them myself! This is Lucilla-Sims' 4t2 EP12 Pinafore outfit. I wanted the colors to match the base game outfit, so I took the shoe textures from another dress and slapped them over the brown dress' textures :)
