Hey guys, I’ve been having some trouble with my game recently. I have the hq mod in my game and everything is fine in cas but for some reason whenever I try to use skin overlays my sim will turn completely black once I exit cas. So not sure what’s happening there, but if you have any ideas on what the problem could be please message me!

How to make your game a liiittle bit more high quality

Just a background knowledge of how this works, you basically change your default screen resolution once, then open your game (your game automatically saves the new resolution) and then you switch back to your normal screen resolution. *disclaimer* this trick has the same concept of the HQ but it’s different. you don’t have to make all your cc compatible with it but it’s not as sharp as the HQ mod. (not coming for anyone’s brand or anything, this is just my personal trick and i want to share it with the world)

here’s how to do it:

1) Right click your desktop > NVIDIA Control Panel > Resolution > Customize > Create Custom Resolution… > change it to 4096x2300 (you can go for more if you have a bigger screen, mine is kinda smol) > then click Yes and Apply.

2) You’re gonna notice how your screen got much smaller, don’t worry, just open your game and change the resolution to 4096x2300, once you’ve done that you can change your default screen (not in game) to the normal resolution. your game will automatically save that resolution and you can change it to that resolution whenever you take screenshots.

I usually use my default resolution because everything in cas gets smaller and i can barely see anything, then change it to the bigger resolution whenever i take pics.

(you’re not gonna see a big difference because well.. tumblr, but as you can see it made it more sharpen and the lighting got better, since i use reshade.
