My New doll - Emma. Emma is a little deaf girl who lives in the attic, among dusty books. She doesn’t hear the laughter of children wafting from the street, but hears whispers of orphaned pages that rats carried off  in their nests. She begs moths don’t turn to dust dilapidated books, because the books are her only friends. Emma feeds the little hungry ghosts of butterflies, she gives them yellowed lace that adorn her dress… And moths don’t eat hungrily  poems and fairytales forgotten on the shelves.
