having a freeze response to stress is so funny in the context of normal adult stressors. millions of years of evolution are trying to tell me that the email will not find me if i stay very still and do nothing

every once in awhile i get extremely interested in language learning, which is great. it's awesome to learn a new language, and fun once you get the hang of each.

unfortunately, my one problem is always separating these languages in my head, and a lot of the vocab mixes together by accident.

i can be trying to speak irish, with irish sentence structure, but accidentally using spanish vocabulary and japanese transition words

2.5 years into an environmental/geosciences major that i didn't think too hard about beforehand bc i just wanted to pursue something i liked.

realizing that most of the jobs in this field are IN the field, and i'd be a liability in fieldwork due to my physical disability.

just read the description of something that sounds like a dream job (despite me never previously knowing what i actually wanted to do) and now i'm just really sad and angry that i had to be born this way.
