Headcannon that Doctor Nero is Irish.

He puts on a BBC received pronunciation accent most of the time. It’s an old habit, created from a burning need to keep his roots secret and make it that much harder for the wrong people to look in to his past. He still has the accent though- he used it to talk to Number One, and he uses it with the Proffessor, and in that conversation with his father. THe first time he used it with Raven she stared at him like he’d gone crazy.

He uses it with Diabolus, who finds it incredibly sexy.Nero is fully aware of this, and when Diabolus annoys him, he makes a point of not using his “Irresistable Irish Brogue” as Darkdoom Snr calls it for at least three months.,
