Been trying (and failing) to be normal about Godzilla Minus One ever since seeing it for the first time last Monday. Was doing the family grocery order and found out the blu-ray had been marked down to $17. I think that publishing companies should be required to mark any book that has a sex scene in it with a little chili pepper stamp on the inside of the front cover. Better yet, give a book as many stamps as there are sex scenes in it, because I think it'd be hilarious if the tradeoff for writing egregious amounts of smut was having the title page of your book be completely obscured by rows upon rows of 🌶️🌶️🌶️

“Mary was just a vessel used by God not the Mother of God” ok buddy leaving aside the massive heresy of implying that Jesus isn’t God, would you speak about your own mother like that, let alone the mother of our Lord?
My brain has been running around in circles for like, 10 minutes over this take because I genuinely cannot figure out what the original author could have meant by it. "Just a vessel," well, yes, technically, she was a vessel, because a vessel is anything that carries something else inside it, and Mary did carry Jesus in her womb. Which.... Y'know.... Also makes her His mother. Because that's how pregnancy works. I am losing my mind trying to make sense of this. This is like saying that a baseball is actually just a sphere, not a baseball. Were they trying to imply that Jesus actually grew somewhere OTHER than Mary's womb??? Do they think He just sprouted fully formed out of the top of her head like freaking Athena???? As if that's somehow much more believable than the idea that Mary was Jesus'--and therefore, God's- mother??????
