Wiping the sweat from his brow, Roarke turned to the other with a smile.
"Demons tend to be much stronger than humans, even if many of us don't look it. A lot of the strongest ones like to have weaopns that match their egos, too, so I guess it's only natural that they'd be bigger."
Not that he was one to talk, what with his signature weapon being a massive battle axe that weighed damn near a ton and his apprentice's equally massive hammer weighing... considerably more. But that was the norm in the many Netherworlds strewn about the multiverse, and this one was no exception.
"If you need something smaller, I can make one to order. Won't be cheap, though."
‖ ♥︎ 》 So, you know how the squad is going on a sidequest to find the little green squishy guys? You know, the arc that I kind of forgot about then skipped ahead of on @/princess2x4?
‖ ♥︎ 》 Some of them don't live to see their favorite Princess ascend to godhood.
"W-Weh! Why the s-screaming?! D-Did...Did I do something wrong?" Symphony was startled by the outburst, pulling 'Mr Wiggles' close to her. "All I did was give Mr Wiggles a cute lil hat and bow...and fed him lots and lots of snacks." He was certainly the most pudgiest zygarde bit now. Maybe he had too much snacking, but it certainly looked happy!
It took a few moments for Squeaks to calm down enoguh to speak at a normal volume, but once he'd gotten a hold of himself he let out a sigh.
"Symphony, that thing you have there? That's... Well, I'm not sure what it is, but I need to to help the Princess. I don't know how it helps... Or, what it does at all really, since the only other one we found started glowing then disappeared when we gave it to her..."
He shook his head, then tried to give her a smile.
"But I mean, you'll be helping her by handing that little thing over!"
"Oh S-Squeaks~! Look at the lil friend I f-found the other day~" Symphony held up a green lil worm, ya know the one that everyone's on the hunt for, except this one's wearing a lil top hat and a bow. Also, it looks a lil chubby.
"Isn't h-he adorable? I made him his own lil hat and bow and i've been giving him lots of treats. His name's S-Sir Wiggles~" Of course, Symphony didn't know about the major worm hunt.
"What."
It took a moment for the situation to register in his head, then..
"WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME SOONER??? WE--??? THE PRINCESS--?????"
Seems like he needs another moment. Or a few. Or a lot. Better make that a lot.
[Ashura's squad is hanging out in the castle's garden, discussing the current situation regarding the Princess.]
"So, we're supposed to just find these little green... things... and give them to Ashura? Why?"
"Lady Death only said they would help her to not have thise weird energy outbursts..."
"Well, that sounds like a wild Farfetch'd chase."
"Do we even know what they are? Seems like that Goddess was intentionaly vague about it...
"I'll look through the castle's library. Maybe there'll be some info on those things in a book or something."
[While the rest of the team discusses how to move forward with Death's odd mission, Xell seems a bit distracted.]
"Uh... Guys?"
"But, how are we meant to find them? Is there some kind of radar or detector we can use?"
"Who knows? That Goddess isn't known for being helpful to mere mortals."
"Guys, I think--"
[Everyone continues talking about the situation, leaving Xell's attempt to get their attention to fade among their discussion.]
"It doesn't matter what they are, I'll make sure to find every last one so Ashura--"
[As the cattering continues, Xell gets more and more frustrated, until...]
"Would you all shut up for five seconds and listen to me??!
[Everyone suddenly becomes silent as they look at Xell, shocked at just how loud he had been. The Gallade then sighs, and his vioce returns to its normal, relatively soft tone as he points toward the castle wall that borders one side of the garden the garden.]
"Look."
[Everyone looks over to the wall in question, one of the creatures they were talking about stuck on the stained glass of one of the windows.]
"Is that...?"
[Veera rushes over to the window and grabs the creature, being careful not to squish it in her hands as she returns to the group.]
"It's so small! Xell, how did you even see it? I mean, you don't really see things like we do, but... Well, you know what I mean!"
"I felt a presence similar to but weakeer than Ashura's, even though she's on the other side of the castle. And when I looked over, I notcied its 'aura' was the same color as hers."
"That was suspiciously easy..."
"I doubt finding the rest will be. We don't even know how many there are."
"Yeah, still gonna turn the library upside down just in case there's some info on... whatever this thing is."
"I'll help you. It should go faster with two of us."
"O-Oh, uh... Sure! Thanks!!"
[Squeaks rolls his eyes at his sister and she and Sallia leave, then turns to Veera and Xell.]
"Guess that means you two should take that thing to the Princess, then."
"Sounds good! Let's go, Xell!"
[Xell nods and walks behind Veera as she dashes off, leaving the others to talk amongst themselves and figure out what to do next.]

[Rumors around the castle said that the Princess had hired a new vassal recently... Not that Squeaks knew anything about that -- he had been gone on a vacation for the past week, so hearing those rumors upon his return to the castle left him a bit confused. Why would the Princess need another vassal? She had eight already, of which he was one, and they were strong enough together to take on most threats to Her Highness. Still, he figured he'd find and greet this newcomer, and maybe warn them of just how dangerous this job could be. So, he asked around and was told to find them in the Princess' library, and when he arrived...]
"Hey, Ashura, word on the street is you got a new--"
[He paused when he saw the "newcomer" in question chatting with the Princess -- She had short orange hair, bright green eyes, a pair of Raichu ears and a tail to match... And, most importantly, a face nearly identical to his. A short silence passed as the situation registered in his head, before both their expressions lit up.]
"Claire!!"
"Lance!!"
[The two Raichu practically run into each other's hugs, both excited to see the other after years of beeing apart.]
"Why didn't you tell me you were gonna start working for the Princess??"
"I mean, it was kind of a last-minute thing!"
[The twins release each other form thier hug before he gives the Princess a questioning look, which elicits an amused chuckle from her.]
"Three days ago."
"Exactly! I haven't even finished moving all my stuff here!"
"Yeah, I'll bet! You always did have a lot of junk!
