The Gravemind.
The cumulative knowledge and flesh of thousands of dead. The central nerve cluster of the Flood. An enemy of all life, it is the avatar of death.
When Chief and Cortana activated the Halo ring, they thought Gravemind was destroyed. But it was slowed, not stopped. The Flood will never stop. They cannot be stopped.
Gravemind has forged a puppet for itself, a shell to walk among men. A trap, to see and to know. It has learned much, knows more than anyone could have realized.
The Gravemind has created a new type of puppet. It’s prototype, so to speak. A form of Flood that infects, but does not destroy. It learns all it can, even helping where able. But do not take it’s weak form for granted. It is a new breed of Flood.
Vex is a form of proto Gravemind. it is aware of what it is, but retains a human identity.
He has embedded himself in human military forces as a nurse- claiming prodigy in the medical field.
Note: this should be considered mildly AU and will consist of a lot of personal head canons. Vex will only be played on request.
