I don’t like a lot of romance tropes, but I will eat up “pining for someone, but that someone is in a happy relationship and you don’t want to ruin it, only to find out that said person was pining for you too and end up breaking up with their partner just because it’s not you” every time

a while ago I saw a TikTok that was like “white people just shake their shoulders when they dance” and now I’m very self conscious of my shoulders

one thing I’ve noticed in a lot of AI writing, is that AI is really bad at establishing a sense of space. not to sound like an expert, but one of the first things you need to do when writing is to let your reader mentally visualize where the character is in space (on a bed, in a kitchen, outside, etc) and then get more and more descriptive as you establish other factors (how they’re feeling, what’s going on, any other descriptive language you wanna use). writing is a visual art, and you have to express that your reader so they can picture it in their mind.

AI does the opposite. it loves relying on these purple-prosey, winding overly descriptive language over establishing anything within a space. not to say that people don’t write like that (AI learned from people, after all) or that people can’t write like that and write really great stories, but AI tends to really rely on it.
