DID is obviously odd and inconvenient in multiple ways on a daily basis, but a particularly strange one to me is “having a meltdown, but I don’t feel anything about it and I don’t know which part is responsible”. it’s like a one-way mirror for thought and feelings — I can hear and feel what they’re feeling, but I can’t speak back, nor can I tell who’s freaking out, and I’m not even sure they know that I’m acting as a channel through which to express their feelings externally

#in general it’s jarring and uncomfortable when a part can hear/communicate to you but you can’t do it back #especially when you’re fronting together aughh😭#been having that happen a lot with a mystery kid part who loves to yap at me but can’t seem to hear me back at all????#that or she’s ignoring me on purpose LOL but it doesn’t seem that way imo #personal
