I live near an EXTREMELY polluted river in the US, one that's been slowly getting better over time. If you step out of my house, the river is literally right there.

We have pulled frogs with three eyes out of this river when I was a kid. I was telling an out of state friend about this because the topic of people swimming in it came up, and my other friend who also lives in the area went
