Abbey Lee Kershaw with Nicholas Hoult at the Met Gala 2013
i-D magazine: What reactions did you get to your Met Gala ‘Gun Control’ statement?
Abbey: A vast mix. My favourite was “she’s a stupid slut who was just looking for an excuse to take her clothes off.” They were spot on
hmm its like I crave some type of eternal and brutal punishment but I'm not exactly sure for what
sky sports banger of the day is calling being max's teammate one of the most demoralising jobs in formula 1
they doubled down saying it's the worst job in motorsport
this is a hot take but i think booing is a part of sports but it doesn't belong in formula 1. it goes too far in other sports many times as well but in f1 its... specially bad. in team sports when you don't actually know that much about the other teams players and are booing them just because theyre against your team in your home stadium... that can be quite fun actually. you know its not personal. and with national or local teams there is always pride involved as well.... in f1 its literally just corporations. what fucking pride? its almost always personal. i dont even hate it when its personal but like... with max its always some arbitrary reason but the way they put it is always oh hes just the most terrible person in the universe and it pisses me off
hard agree actually.
exactly! In tennis booing is widely considered disrespectful. Recently when in the Australian Open the public booed Novak bc he couldn't finish the game, both majority of fans and the main media criticized that behaviour (and other tennis players ofc). It says a lot of the culture of formula 1 as a sport and tbh it's kinda sad and disappointing
may this find me
i hate that being emotionally unavailable is so associated with masculinity. which is why i must stay emotionally unavailable. for feminism.
