It upsets me to see that people are calling you a copycat.
//Hey there! I appreciate your words and the fact that you reached out.
Like, I’ll be honest and say when I first transferred my Katherine to this outlet, when I found yours I was anxious and filled with a ‘oh no my Katherine isn’t going to get any traction because she appears to be a copy cat type blog’. And yet when I learned more about yours, both our girls are so DRASTICALLY different in so many ways that the anon hate...made no sense?
I hold no ill feelings towards you, please know this! Things happen, as coincidental as it is. It’s just been really hard and awkward receiving anon hate for an OC blog that I pour my heart and soul into. If Katherine were a canon blog it’d be much easier to just ignore and delete because as unfortunate as it is, canon blogs tend to get anon hate more commonly because fans are weird. But to get it as an OC blog just because another person has an OC with the same name and similar appearance? It’s a really uncomfortable feeling.
It’s made a pretty big dent in my mental health if I’m being blunt. Being a strictly writing blog surrounded by art askblogs already means I have to work much MUCH harder than a normal askblog just to be seen since people tend to gravitate instant gratification over having to READ something. The feeling of Katherine being forgotten happens often.
This ended up much longer than I intended, but letting it out made more sense than bottling it up. This blog is a hobby and a muse that I adore very very dearly, so to be called a copycat and or attacked for whatever reason just....hurts.
As a lesser known writing based farmer blog, I can completely understand the feeling of frustration. Take care of yourself, and feel free to talk to me if needed.
