I finished reading The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo and my my do I love it!! I just can't seem to know how to appreciate the book, the writing, the plot and overall the entire thing. I would sell my soul to read it again for the first time. Reading it didn't seem like reading words, I was living, breathing the words. Evelyn Hugo almost became real and it was I sitting on that desk listening to her. I highly recommend you reading this book if you haven't
Just putting this out there again 😁
What a nice start to 'Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo'
Did I just read the four volumes of Heartstopper in 2hrs? Yes I did and I am not SORRY!!!!!
And the cliffhanger?!?! Like come on 😭😭😭😭
Did I just read the four volumes of Heartstopper in 2hrs? Yes I did and I am not SORRY!!!!!
started reading the heartstopper and I am OBSESSED!!!
I just finished Conversations with friends and I have thoughts...
The book portrays the power imbalance in an extramarital affair really well. The thoughts and the feelings a person has, the difficulties that they go through were the indirect cause of the relationship through the eyes of the person who is the powerless one in the relationship and how a power imbalance might not necessarily look like that was quite interesting to read. The constant showering of love becomes a cover for the ruthless treatment after things don't go in the way you want them to...
I am excited for the series to come out. It would be amazing to see this story play out on a big screen especially when we cannot have a one-person perspective in a tv show...
Would I recommend this book: Absolutely
Rating:⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
only Lemony Snicket can fill a page with ever and get away with it and also he deadass spoiled his own book in chapter 2....like that is queen shit right there..He did it and I ironically love him for it
I currently reading the Series of Unfortunate events by Lemony Snicket
Every time Mr Poe or any other adult shuts of the Baudelaire children it pisses me off man like listen to wtf the children are saying cause adults are too egoistic to listen the actual people in problem, the children!!!
The Book Thief
I started the Book Thief like 2 months ago and I am must say the book was quite fascinating!
The story basically follows through a girl Liesel who goes to live with her foster parents Hans and Rosa Hubermann in Himmel Street. It is set in Nazi Germany and basically is a narration of her life by a very interesting narrator, death...
Long story short, this novel is a manuscript of Liesel's life, that she will write during the course of her life and lends it to death when he comes to finally pick her up. We see her grow from adjusting to her new life with her new family, finding new friends, providing concealment to a Jewish man, whom she grows close enough to share her interest in literature, a huge library belonging to the mayor and her hobby of stealing books that the German officials wanted to destroy starting from a book she found at a graveyard.
Every book she steals is a symbol of what she is going through at that point in her life. It sort of aids to the story she wants to tell, relating to the readers on a personal level.
By the way, these are all the books she steals 😁
The Gravedigger's Handbook, The Dog Named Faust, The Lighthouse, The Shoulder Shrug, The Whistler, The Mud Men, The Standover Man, The Dream Carrier, A Song in the Dark, Under the Cherry Tree, The Tenth Lieutenant, The Last Human Stranger and The Rules of Tommy Hoffman
Would I recommend you read the book: Immensely
Rating: 5 stars (I loved it so much)
A part that Captured me: The narration
The character I resonated with most: Honestly, Death
Let me know what you think of it!
I am reading The Book thief ( if you are wondering) and I will wrap it up in a week or so
So far I am loving it!!
