planning a new project like "wow! this is pretty simple and straightforward. now how do i over-complicate it"
#trying to plan out making a knitting needle roll#and ive gotten to the point where im opening csp to make a visual aid#the problem is. the original pattern is for crochet hooks. so i needed to widen the pockets (for double pointed needles)#and also make it taller (for single pointed needles)#and add a second row of pockets (bc the pockets for spn would be too tall for dpn)#and THEN add another flap so the dpn dont slide around the roll#but then if i used the original length of the pattern#i would end up with 22 (x 2 for 44) needle pockets. and i just dont have THAT many knitting needles!!#so then i figured id shorten the whole thing#and just now i was like 'well what about a place to store stitch markers'#'but a pocket for those would need a zipper to hold th-'#absolutely not ill just make a seperate pouch and give it a little loop to attach to the roll none of this#is necessary#sirotras speaks#almost tried to work out a way to get circular needles in there too. even tho i already have a circular needle case.#... perhaps ill have enough left over fabric for a roll to hold my thread corchet hooks....
