Gwayne is literally offering Criston a home in Oldtown, comfort after a failure, trying to talk him out of a suicidal mission, and shedding TEARS over Criston’s story and the realization that nothing can save his friend, yet some of Gwayne’s fans are somehow convinced he was glad to get rid of Cole and wanted him to suffer.

Nah, hatred is so blinding.

He makes each Velaryon go through a needless ritual of humiliation (Rhaena, I love you), making them look stupid and degrade them to inhuman levels. Making characters black and then treating them that way IS RACISM.
