..is an Algerian-born French transgender woman who performed under the stage name Bambi. She performed in a transgender showgirl revue at Le Carrousel de Paris for approximately 20 years.

She acquired university degrees at the Sorbonne in Paris, becoming a teacher of literature in 1974. She was initially appointed in Cherbourg; but two years later, she began teaching at Garges-lès-Gonesse, and remained there for the next 25 years. She was honored with induction into the Ordre des Palmes Académiques.

Hi I have a question and I'm sososo sorry if this comes out as offensive because I really don't want to harm you and I'm just curious and want to learn the right thing so I don't offend anyone so hum my question is if you're sex is female and you transition to become a part of the male gender and you're attracted to females, are you straight? I'm just confused by the terms gender and sex as a whole I'm really sorry for bothering you bye

No offense taken. This is a very common question, and the answer is really simple. If the person identifies as male (regardless of their past) and they’re attracted to females, they’re straight. If they’re attracted to males, they’re gay. Its the same as it would be for any cisgender male. The same holds for those who identify as women… just call it the same thing you would for any cisgender female. It’s as simple as that!

So, for example, I’m a transgender woman and I’m in a relationship with a woman. It’s a lesbian relationship. Technically speaking, she’s a transgender woman too, but that doesn’t change anything. Still two women, still a lesbian relationship!

Oh, and in case you’re wondering what cisgender means, it essentially means “not transgender”. It’s a much better way to describe them than something like “real” or “normal” because unlike those, it doesn’t imply something is wrong with trans folks. :)
