Speaking of the Tales stream earlier today…

I actually got up early for that. 3:15 AM to be specific.

And while I’m not surprised with all the info shown…I still have to bring up the elephant in the room…

…Why have they not said anything about an Abyss 20th anniversary party yet…? ESPECIALLY given that they had no problem giving Legendia one, even announced a good 4 months prior? And now Abyss has already hit their milestone with no news in sight…

I know Legendia has its fans…I know that. But you absolutely, CANNOT tell me that Abyss isn’t more popular…if not by at least 3-5x as much. And I’m not intentionally trying to put the game down. That’s just the simple truth of the matter.

So then…WHAT is Bamco’s play here, exactly? They KNOW people are expecting it, they KNOW people are waiting for it. So then…what’s going on??

Is the reason Legendia got a party (and well I guess also a remastered OST…) because they have no plans to do anything else with the game, so they’re just trying to keep its fans satisfied with something and now they’re moving forward with other plans?

Is the reason Abyss hasn’t gotten one because…(wait for it) they have bigger plans for it? Like, that would convince me more that they are indeed working on some kind of remaster/remake for it, hence why they’re not thinking about an anniversary party as a priority…

I mean…I don’t know. I do know though, that during last year’s stream after they revealed the Legendia party, that the MC specifically told Chihiro Suzuki that it wasn’t Abyss’ time (turn?) yet to have one…which is what gave me hope that yes, they WERE aware that people were expecting something for Abyss…

Buuuut other than that…and the unexpected presence of Luke in the 30th anniversary key visual revealed in November, as well as the wristwatch revealed in December… they’ve been radio silent. So are they saying that the watch alone was basically their “gift” to us for the 20th anniversary? Because I would find that very hard to believe…

What do you guys think?

Forgot to mention that I’m not sure if Takehito Koyasu (Jade’s seiyuu) is being a factor in Bamco not being able to schedule a party. Supposedly he doesn’t participate in live stage events and/or he doesn’t want to be recorded in them.
