Day 7: Meditation and rest yesterday. It was my first true rest day all year. Today I took an active rest day: light hiking for 4 miles or so and stretching. Ready to hit the workouts hard this next week!

Day 7: Meditation and rest yesterday. It was my first true rest day all year. Today I took an active rest day: light hiking for 4 miles or so and stretching. Ready to hit the workouts hard this next week!
Day 5: Did 2 miles of an easy run as well as PBYP Day 5. Then went and got tattoos over the lunch hour.
Day 4: My view at this morning's yoga class in the park. 😍 Also did a hill workout today (1.5 mile warm up, 1 mile hill repeats, and 1.5 mile cool down) and a yoga practice at home. Work was done. Only bad news is I can't seem to get my hunger under control. So. Much. Eating.
Day 3: Drove 30 minutes to run in a new place and it was so worth it. Gotta change it up sometimes, you know? Ran 4 miles at an easy pace and then walked 4 more. Did PBYP Day 3 this afternoon after lunch.
“Fill your days with things that you love and fill your life with positive people.”
Day 2:
Went for a walk at the park that I absolutely was obsessed with during college. I mean, look at. It’s a little treasure. It felt so good to be outside in a comforting place. I also completed day 2 of the pbyp and did 20 minutes of strength training.
My first counseling session was today. I was so nervous, but I didn’t need to be. Big take-away: I need to work on establishing boundaries for my own mental health and the health of others.
Day 1: Ran 2 miles easy and 1 mile of intervals. I haven't done any sort of speed work in months, so it was tooooughhh. BUT these raspberries I found along the path on the way back made it all worth it. Completed day 1 of the Perfect Body Yoga Program.
M, This summer has been crazy and I have gotten out of a fitness/health routine because of it. Starting tomorrow (after a doughnut date of all things) I am committing to a speed building training plan and a low-sugar, whole foods diet through December. No race plans right now (although that could change), just working on building speed and fitness and toning up. -A

Ran Afton Trail Run this past weekend with our other sister. I was so incredibly proud of this girl! This 25k race was her first race longer than a 5k and the longest distance she had ever ran. Woohoo!
I have always heard of people running races they didn’t train for, and always was confused on how that could even happen. I mean- how can you not train?! But now I know. Huge family stuff has been going on for over a month now and it totally screwed over any exercise plan any of us girls had in place. It has been emotionally, mentally, and physically exhausting-not to mention time sucking. Neither of us were able to complete the last month of training and we came into the race woefully unprepared. But we did it and I am so glad we did. We are stronger than we give ourselves credit for.
Beach walks.
Never stop exploring together.
Stars.
After every uphill, there is a downhill and an aid station. 😜
