Design Development - Colours

The main material for my design piece is going to be beech, however, I do want to add a splash of colour in the form of a cotton seat pad. These pads will vary in colour with the customer able to chose a colour they want.

To keep the piece linked to the brand I have chosen to use the brand colours as my inspiration and selected 5 toned down versions of the brand colours as well as a standard grey which will always work well within any colour scheme.

Concept Design - Working Model

As well as playing around in VectorWorks and SketchUp to help get a better feel for my 3D design possibilities, I have also used clay as a basic modelling tool to try and get the curved look I am aiming for with the wave concept.
