There are a few (not enough) Superbat fics that have Clark dealing with the media attention of being Bruce Wayne’s boyfriend, but what if instead Bruce decides to shield Clark from the spotlight by creating a persona, like Matches Malone, that he can disguise himself as for dates. Only Bruce decides to make the character as close to what he thinks Clark’s ideal boyfriend would be, so he’s like a do-gooder type who’s friendly, outgoing, and charming, and he wins over all of Clark’s friends and coworkers, everything’s going great until Bruce realizes just how popular this persona has become. He ends up worried that Clark might like the character more than him and as a result becomes increasingly jealous of his own creation.

“What “him” Bruce!?! “He” is just an attractively arranged wig and stage makeup, with a couple of phony documents thrown in!”
