A fun game: The Finnish Bus Stop

You need: A big group of people (school class, a sports team etc.) Rules: As you may know, Finnish people try to avoid all kinds of social interaction in public places, especially direct eye-contact. Therefore, the idea of this game is to try to avoid eye-contact with other people as much as possible.

The participants form a circle. One person will be the leader of the game and stay outside of the circle.

First, all participants will lower their gaze to look at another person’s toes. It doesn’t matter who’s toes they are.

The leader will count to three. On three, everybody lifts their gazes to look the person whose toes they were watching in the eye. If the person you’re looking at also looks right back at you, you have to scream and run away from the circle.

The game goes on until there is only one person left, the winner. If there are two people left in the end, a round of rock-paper-scissors will determine the winner.
