As a lifelong traveler, lover of airports, and frequent work flier - this article, sadly, doesn’t surprise me.  It does make me angry though. 

I’ve experienced and seen similar situations personally. It seems like an easy fix to create protocols for assault on airlines, including but not limited to, a means of communicating to the police on the ground, detaining the assailant, providing their personal information for police, and speaking to witnesses. 

Get it right. It’s not that hard.
