Construction of the statue of the Mother of God in Konotop (Poland) is nearing completion. It will be the tallest Marian statue in Europe, surpassing even the famous Christ the Redeemer monument in Rio de Janeiro. The ceremonial unveiling is scheduled for August 15, the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
