“Looking Up”
I'm taller than you Yet when my eyes look down, I'm Looking up to you
A haiku from the perspective of someone who is taller than someone they care about and find inspiration in. Written for the February 2020 DeviantArt prompt "write a haiku about love." (I had Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps in mind when I wrote this.)
Reviews are great, favorites are OK, follows are appreciated. But the best thing would be if I could sit next to my readers and watch their reactions to my stories in real time.
are you conservative?
Yes.
Last month, I finished publishing a four-chapter Zootopia fanfic called Getting Into Character: Zootopia. Summary: While preparing to record for a Zootopia TV series, an accident transforms three voice actors (Jason Bateman, Ginnifer Goodwin, Tiny Lister) into the mammal characters they play.
Because part of the story involves real-life people, FanFiction.net's rules prohibit me from publishing it there, so I'm limited to publishing it on Archive of Our Own and DeviantArt.
I hope you will all enjoy it!
My political spectrum is easy to understand.
Zootopia Scenes and Shorts Installment 15: “The Nose Knows”
The clock radio turned on at precisely 6:00 a.m., filling the Wilde bedroom with "Welcome to Tujunga" by Guns N' Rodents on the local classic rock station. It had been Nick's turn to set the clock the night before. . . .

What Nick Wilde would wear to the ZPD Christmas party.
HOW TOO MUCH OF THE ZOOTOPIA FANDOM TREATS ITS CONTENT CREATORS
I exaggerate, but as an author it does feel a bit like this sometimes. Paint with a brush and get lavished with praise; paint with words and you’ll get more cricket chirps than comments.
Hug both.
I posted this exactly a year ago, and I’m probably going to have to reblog it every September 29 until I eventually retire from writing Zootopia material in however many years. With few exceptions, things have gotten worse over the past year, my “hug both” request having fallen on deafer ears than Otto Hopps’s 101-year-old ones.
Today is September 29, 2019.
Annual reblogging. September 29, 2020.
Judy after every firework on the Fourth of July.
“You want to defund who?”
Nick and Judy came to work with me today. At least in the form of pins that I wore on the pocket of my green tropical leaves "Pawaiian" shirt, which is not an official Nick shirt but is similar enough that I'm sure he'd love it. (I do have the official T-shirt based on his Pawaiian shirt, though.) While much of the world remains shut down, I am keeping a government department in operation two days a week. (I won't say which department, but don't worry, it's one of the good ones!) Normally I don't work so few days, but with how we've reduced operations, I generally end up working two days alone, some coworkers generally work alone on the other three days, and others have generally stayed home entirely. Over the past month, I have seen a coworker in person for all of three hours. Which means that I can have the fun of bringing a bit of Zootopia in with me and no one knows except me—and now you. I also admit that I haven't shaved for a few weeks, which has generally also been my secret because I cover my face whenever I step into the hall. (I'm likely to finally get out the razor, though, because it looks pretty terrible—I can do many things, but growing pleasant-looking facial hair isn't one of them.)
It's nice to be essential, and in many ways it's not so bad to work alone. There's too much chatter sometimes when the office is full, etc. But it can also be tiring, since not a lot of the things I do get done on the other three days. Once COVID-19 is dead enough that we can finally get back together again, the work can once again be spread out more fairly. And we can have a pizza party to celebrate having all survived.
A shot of a tweet thread I did this morning for Mother's Day showing Bonnie and her 276 kits (although, as I said, I believe there are probably more now). Judy is a little harder to find here than Waldo, but she's definitely among the fluffle!
You can find my tweet thread here. I also did one for Father's Day last year.
Pageviews of the Wikipedia article on Corona beer over the past 90 days.
The beer does not contain the virus, you morons.
Flatten the curve. Also, flatten this graph.
Zootopia Scenes and Shorts Installment 14: “Telling the Folks”
Nick nudged Judy's foot under the table, one of many in the Hopps dining hall. "Is this a good time, Carrots?" he whispered through the mouthful of steamed carrots with blueberry sauce that Bonnie had made just for him.

I tried doing another Zootopia meme. Judy would probably choose most things over waiting at the DMV all day. She'd probably also see serving as a juror as another way to make the world a better place. (Template by xX_AndyPer_Xx.)
