Kunikida being the embodiment of the Agency and its living breathing flag bearer, only makes me more intrigued as to how and why he joined.

Because with the exception of Junichiro we know how everyone else did.

The Agency was founded by Ranpo and Fukuzawa. The DOA arc shows us when and why Kenji and Yosano joined.

The Dark Era and Dazai’s entrance exam outline how he got here and why. We may not know why he left but Kunikida and Katai’s brilliant days shows us why Katai joined.

And in the main series we see Atsushi and Kyouka join the Agency.

But not Kunikida.

As far as I’m aware all we know is that Kunikida joined prior to Dazai. Making him the 3rd person to ever join the Agency.

He’s a college drop out and he was a maths teacher before becoming a detective.

That’s it.

And people say Dazai’s mysterious.
