she was cared by her mates, don't worry
Fun fact: the beets are painted with actual beet juice.
If you have a pie crust recipe and a cheese substitute you can easily make this vegan.
@castingmysilver
Oh neat! This makes a lot of sense as a layer recipe. I normally just mix all the veg together and douse them in mushroom gravy…
this shit sucks. wish bulbasaur was real .
Omigosh!
Jest got home from seeing the anime “Scarlet” from Mamoru Hosoda and Studio Chizo. It was soooooooooo amazing!! Loved it
Anyone else see it? What did yall think?
hello fellow artists. google has fallen. pinterest/duckduckgo AI filters don't work. do not despair; here is a list i made of places to find reference images without having to sift through piles of worthless garbage. (for future editing convenience i am just linking my blog post on dreamwidth.)
✨ good places to find art reference that are not full of AI trash 🌈
reblogging for personal use
ART REFERENCE NOT FULL OF AI?! YESSS
THANK YOU
WHY YOU SHOULD WRITE HORRIBLY:
1. You’ll never write anything if you don’t
'People are panicking about AI tools the same way they did when the calculator was invented, stop worrying' cannot stress enough the calculator did not forcibly pervade every aspect of our lives, has such a low error rate it's a statistical anomaly when it does happen, isn't built on mass plagiarism, and does not obliterate the fucking environment when you use it. Be so fucking serious right now
a rainbow of van gogh—
in order: Peach Tree in Bloom (in memory of Mauve), 1888 / Red Poppies and Daisies, 1890 / Willows at Sunset, 1888 / The Sower (Sower with Setting Sun), 1888 / Undergrowth with Two Figures, 1890 / Landscape with Couple Walking and Crescent Moon, 1890 / Branches with Almond Blossom, 1890 / Starry Night Over the Rhone, 1888 / Irises, 1889 / Wheat Field With Cypresses, 1889
it wasn't "some reason", it was 2D animators being unionized and 3D not being unionized. and the simple truth that capitalism kills art.
I remember when 2D faded out, the reason studios kept giving was "it's because 2D is a lot more expensive to produce". I was a child back then so I didn't think too much about it, assuming it was about the process itself, but as I grew up and learned more about art as an artist, and gained friends who were professional 3D artists themselves, I started to question it. Because 3D is very different from 2D, but it's definitely not easier or faster to make. Also, both European and Asian studios kept producing 2D animated movies
The answer was unions. The answer wasn't "this kind of art is cheaper because it's easier to make", it was "this kind of art is cheaper because these artists can't force us to pay them correctly"
They have reach their ultimate form: 8-legged arachkids.
Continuation of this now with Gwen doing the sillies with them!
the thing about having hope is that it is so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so difficult. but you have to do it anyway
I have some older art tips that I keep forgetting to post here. I'll add a few in the next few days, at least those that aren't too outdated!
This one is about giving an extra feel of weight to your characters.
Here is a round-up of all eight of the free digital brush packs that I’ve released so far for Photoshop CC, Clip Studio Paint, and Procreate!
You can download them on this page (click) Type in “0″ for a free download or tip any amount you so desire!
All my brush packs are totally free (tips optional but always very appreciated!) and can be used freely in any work, including commercial work that you profit off of, with no license or credit required. My goal with these brush packs is to make digital painting feel more achievable and accessible - especially painting environments, something I now LOVE but that used to intimidate me, & felt much more approachable with the right tools! Many of the packs also come with tutorial video content. I hope you enjoy!
Enid: “WEDNESDAY! HELP!”
Wednesday: “What’s wrong?!”
Enid: *starts sobbing and walks in dorm carrying a box* “I escaped the lupin cages last night and…and…I murdered a Mama fox.”
Wednesday: *let’s out a sigh of relief* “That’s all? Enid, what you did is completely normal in your wolf form. There’s no reason to be upset. Wait…How do you know the fox was a Mother?”
*Enid opens the box and Wednesday sees 3 fox pups*
Enid: “I couldn’t leave them Wednesday! It’s my fault they are all alone. We are foster Mothers now.”
Wednesday: “Enid, absolutely not. We do not have the time to raise 3 fox pups. They’ve got to go.”
The next day:
Enid: “Good News! I called a wildlife rehabilitation center and they said they will take the fox pups. Isn’t that great?”
*Wednesday is cradling two of the foxes in one arm and bottle feeding the third one*
Wednesday: “We are not getting rid of our children Enid. They need us and I am now unfortunately attached. Oh and just so your aware their names are Zeus, Apollo, and Hermes.”
Thing: *secretly taps to Enid* “Did you really call the wildlife rehabilitation center”
Enid: “Nope.” *smiles*
