everyone i've talked to about this has been completely unaware so: if you didn't know already, there's going to be a solar eclipse, with totality or coverage of 90% or more in some places, over a lot of europe, on august 12th 2026. in the uk it will start just after 6pm, and the maximum will be at 7:13pm.

It's Moon Day, so let's look at a dinosaur from the moon!
…Well, not literally. But Eoraptor lunensis' name means "dawn thief from the moon", in reference to it being discovered in the Valle de la Luna (Valley of the Moon) of Ischigualasto Provincial Park, Argentina.
Living during the Late Triassic, around 231-229 million years ago, Eoraptor was one of the earliest known of all dinosaurs. Originally classified as an early theropod, it's now thought to actually be a very early offshoot of the sauropodomorph lineage, closely related to other South American forms like Buriolestes and Pampadromeus.
It measured around 1.2m long (~4'), with leg proportions that indicate it was a fast runner. Its jaws contained both leaf-shaped and serrated pointed teeth, suggesting it may have been an opportunistic omnivore, feeding mainly on plant matter but occasionally supplementing its diet with smaller prey.
Unlike later dinosaurs it also still had vestigial palatal teeth on the roof of its mouth.
Eoraptor would have lived in a warm humid climate alongside several other early dinosaur species such as Herrerasaurus and Eodromaeus — but this was at a time before the dinosaurs had become the dominant terrestrial vertebrates, so other animals like rhynchosaurs, aetosaurs, rauisuchians, cynodonts and dicynodonts were also very abundant in the Ischigualasto ecosystem.

:D After 39439 years, I finally finished my Manga Blerdy Girl's illustration! It definitely took a bit longer than I expected, but I'm happy with how it came out! It's hard to believe that my previous ones and this current one are 3 years apart LOL. Hopefully it doesn't take me another 3 years to finish Cosplay and Comics.
But what are your favorite manga to reread? I've read Skip Beat twice and I might have to read it again because I have no idea what's happening in the story right now lol

Hey so that was a great date, yeah, but I don't think it's going to work out. Nono you didn't do anything wrong, and I have indeed had a crush on you since we started high school, it's just... well, I didn't want to bring it up at the time but we kinda got sucked into a portal fantasy midway through. We saved the kingdom over and over, relying on our knowledge of and trust in each other every time, throwing ourselves into the firing line to protect each other and using each others' conviction as a rock. We got married and lived a happy life together until the portal sucked us back mid-battle and you gave up all your memories of our journey in order to save my life right when we ended up back in the coffee shop. Yeah that was when I got a bit weird and went to the bathroom.
Anyway I thought we could push on and make the date work but I have all of these memories of secrets that this you never chose to share, decisions that this you never made, and intimacies that this you never experienced. And it's kind of screwing with the vibe yeah. Also on the date it was really, blatantly clear that you're sixteen whereas I have memories of ruling a fantasy kingdom for thirty years so like... that's a problem all on its own. Anyway this you just feels more like a daughter to me. A daughter with the woman I gave my heart and soul to over and over and received like in return, only to lose her forever on the journey home. On the plus side I can definitely help you with your math homework now.
My pitch for an isekai is someone is reincarnated into an anime or game that they've never experienced themselves but they've heard their friend info-dump seriously about. So they have a half-knowledge of the world seen through the lens of fandom. "What do you mean those two characters aren't actually gay? This hated character is actually a somewhat reasonable person? I think my friend completely misunderstood this part. Actually this whole story kind of sucks doesn't it? There's hardly any depth and my friend's headcanons are all false. My friend has shit taste in anime."

1a) If you participated in baby talk with Penny, did she ever do any code switching with you while she was learning to talk (I mean, babyish talk back to you but fully formed adult like you share with us to Lawyer Dad)?
I didn't baby talk with her very much either! I think I squealed at her more than my husband did.
Something funny that has happened is that while she formally calls me Mama when she's answering me in passing she does call me "My Darling Love" and I don't know for sure but I think it's because I call her and her father "my loves" and her father calls me and her "darlings" and she's created a mash up 😂
So I'll say "okay penny it's time for bed" and I'll just hear "okay my darling love!" 😂

Fanon served in the Free French Army during World War II in North Africa, and like many Black colonial troops, experienced racism. Living in Algeria he supported the independence movement until he was forced to leave the country, at which point he became an ambassador for the Algerian National Liberation Front.

On the northwest Belgian coast, there is a little known tradition: shrimp fishing on horseback. The activity consists of what its name describes: fishing shrimp on a horse. In the 15th century, shrimp fishing on horseback was still practised on the North Sea coasts in France, the Netherlands and even the South of England. This activity represented an extra revenue needed for the household. Nowadays there is only one place in which it is still ongoing: Oostduinkerke, a sub-municipality of the municipality of Koksijde.
