A little bit of free-hand embroidery. Somehow this technique feels less satisfying than cross-stitch on Aida cloth, but it’s good to branch out! Clockwise from top left: morel mushroom, gauntlet from Card Crawl, coelacanth, and tattoo-style peony

Back-stitch line art pieces: Nintendo Entertainment System, Color Wheel, Modern Labyrinth.
Framed pieces from top to bottom:
Choose Your Weapon - all 6 polyhedral dice in one design, for role-playing nerds like me!
Black Metal - SOLD
Trail of Thread - anyone remember this band? They had a lot of songs about embroidery.
Note: all these are custom designs using a back-stitch font I designed. Hope you like them!
My table at the 2015 St. Paul Craftstravaganza. It’s the best craft show in the entire world and I’m not just saying that because it’s my show and I run it (OK, maybe I am a little biased).
My wife and I started the event ten years ago but this was the first time I had my own table. I sold quite a few items and had a ton of fun!
I made custom oak frames for these pieces. Lots of work, but it turned out super-nice!
Collection of endless knots mounted on pine.
Several endless knots! Clockwise from top left:
White-on-white with glow-in-the-dark thread
Black on light oatmeal standard 2-line pattern
Patches! Each is about an inch tall with felt backing
25-crossing endless knot on oatmeal Aida cloth
Reims Cathedral labyrinth reproduction, also the logo of the French historical monuments. Finished size 6"x6".
Rupee
Cammy vs. M. Bison
Home Sweet House - House of Leaves tribute piece. Glows in the dark to reveal hidden secrets!
5-color gradient endless knot pattern in a 3-inch hoop.
4-color Endless Knot. Love how this pattern turned out and looking forward to new color combinations!
The final two Platonic Solids: cube & tetrahedron. I'll be combining all of these into a larger project soon.
Two more new patterns in the polyhedral collection: octahedron & decahedron.
Triforce in gold metallic thread. Kind of a pain to work with and doesn't photograph very well, but so shiny in real life!
Classic diamond, in pink.
