i feel like people who say "if you have no empathy you're evil" really. don't. know what empathy actually is.
if i remember correctly, people mix up empathy, sympathy, and compassion a LOT, when they're all different – and feeling little to nothing when it comes to either of these isn't bad at all, people just really love being hypocritical lmao
ig the easiest way that i've been able to condense these down [as someone with little to no empathy/sympathy but fairly normal compassion] is :
empathy - being able to "put yourself in someone else's shoes", and feel emotions as if you're in the same position as them
sympathy - being able to understand why they feel a certain way ; can be compared to feeling sorry/happy for someone when something bad/good happens to them
compassion - being able to show [metaphorical] warmth, the want to make someone feel better
idk someone else can prolly explain them in more depth but i just want an easy way to distinguish them. v v v tired but if you feel nothing towards anyone youre not evil youre cool as fuck 🔥🔥🔥
Help Abd AL Salam and his family get through this war in Gaza🍉💔
**Humanitarian Support Request: Abdul Salam Al-Anqar**
Hello, I am Abdul Salam Al-Anqar, 26 years old, married to Aya Al-Batniji and I have a little girl named Iman who is (1 year old).

… Abd AL Salam Al Anqar needs your support for Help Abd AL Salam and his family
My family consists of seven members: my mother Iman (49 years old), my father Ahmed (54 years old), and my brothers Mohammed (14 years old), Nader (17 years old), and Omar (21 years old).
Due to the devastating war in the Gaza Strip, our homes were completely destroyed and became uninhabitable. We were forced to flee to the south, and we are searching for safety, as we were displaced more than 9 times, suffering from harsh conditions. We suffer from severe shortages of water and food, and my daughter suffers from malnutrition due to the high prices of food and its scarcity, in addition to the closure of the crossings and the ongoing siege.
I used to work as a car technician, but my workplace was completely destroyed. We are now in dire need of collecting donations to finance our travel to a safe country. The cost of travel is between $6000 and $7000, which is a huge amount that we cannot afford.
We ask for your support and assistance in these difficult circumstances. Even a small contribution can make a big difference in our lives.
Thank you very much for your support and generosity.

thinking about all the aromantic people who died thinking they were broken. thinking about all the aromantic people who died settling for "at least I care about this person". thinking about all the aromantic people that died without ever being able to know why they couldn't reciprocate the feelings of anyone, men, women, people of other genders and more. thinking about all the aromantic people that died being called sluts that never found the right person to marry. thinking about all the aromantic people that died that had to tell themselves that it was fine, they were fine, this marriage will be okay and it will be for the future of their lineage, while crying themselves to sleep every night. thinking about all the aromantic people that died that we will never know about, because being aromantic isn't even close to a possibility in the mind of society at large. because love is supposed to be the force that saves everything. because love is supposed to bring everyone together. because to love is human.
Hello, my name is Abd Alhadi Aburass, and I am from Gaza Palestine 🍉 🇵🇸. I write to you today with a heavy heart💔, seeking hope and help. The ongoing conflict has put my family's life in grave danger🙏.
We have lost our home and my advocacy bureau , leaving us with nothing but the clothes on our backs. In search of safety, we have become refugees, fleeing to another city where we now face immense challenges. 🥹

The war has torn apart our lives, and we are struggling to find stability in this new place. Basic necessities like food, clean water, and shelter are scarce. The trauma of the conflict weighs heavily on us, but we are determined to rebuild our lives and create a safer future for our children.🥲🥲

This genocide took away from them every hope and dream they had as students, so please don't let them down. They need your help to evacuate Gaza and live a better life. It's heartbreaking that he need to reach out to so many people and write an eye-catching post in order to get your attention, so I ask you to

Just a thought, but I think that something that often gets overlooked in the romance vs friendship/QPR debate is how those things are just as socially constructed as gender, and do not, in fact, fall into a strict binary, or even trinary system. Relationships between people are fluid, negotiated things, and terms like partner, boyfriend, girlfriend, wife, husband, friend, etc, mean different things to different people, cultures and eras.
Whether two or more people decide to make their specific type of relationship exclusive, or committed or intimate; whether they’re attracted to each other, or decide to have sex, or live together, or cuddle; whether they do all, or none, or some of those things, they should be allowed to label it how they please. QPR, bromance, FWB, open relationship, polycule, etc. Sure, those terms carry connotations and assumptions, but hailing them as absolutes without any gray areas shows a lack of understanding for human behaviour, and creates unnecessary stigma and difficulties for people who are poly, ace, or aro, as well as anyone whose hierarchy of relationships is just different from the expected norm.
Hello! Please direct your attention to this post. Today I will be sharing Lobna’s story. Lobna is 30 years old and she has 3 children and she lives in the Gaza Strip. She wishes dearly to help her children escape to a safer place but that is becoming increasingly difficult as the day goes on. Her 10 year old son Mohammed is injured and they do not have access to medical care. She has lost her home and now lives in a tent, I could not find any verification so please if you are able to please reblog and share the link. They are VERY far from their goal.

@danashehab has been fundraising since may and is just over €15,000 away from their goal l. as stated in the screenshot people are starting to believe the rafah crossing will open so it’s important to make sure everyone has the funds in case they are allowed to evacuate.
thee shehab family consists of dana (13), sahar (14), mona (9), malak (5), yehya (1.5), fahed, (38), reem (32), and grandmother mona (60). they have been shadowbanned and deleted a few times. you can also find this family at @monashehab
EDIT AUG 24:
The family has had to raise their goal to cover their extended family’s evacuation fees since they are unable to make a new GFM.
The new goal is €85,000.
