about the bonus chapter in acosf:

I feel like the bonus chapter is very clear in terms of structure and the narrative explains very well where the story is going regarding ship wars. Logically, if you understand narratology, there is a correct answer for the ship wars and an answer that goes against all writing principles, and would honestly just be bad story-telling (having the bonus chapter in mind), feeding into sensacionalism and adding a plot twist for the sake of not being predictable, throwing away everything that has been created so far.

with this being said, it still could go either way. I don’t have a definitive answer, i’m not SJM

With all due respect, you are not seriously trying to paint Eluciens as the aggressive ones?

I had no problem with Elriel until I saw how nasty they are to others.

Also, I could ask you all the same question: why are some Elriels so aggressive towards the idea of Lucien and Elain together?

To answer the question, I can see the arguments for both, I just happen to think Elain and Lucien fit better together, the way they love is what the other needs. Azriel was necessary for Elain's story, but in the long run, will not be a match for her. And also I take into consideration the fact that they are mates (it's a fact. what will happen to this bond is yet to be revealed, but the bond is there and is real).

What would happen if Azriel eventually found his mate (I believe SJM like Azriel too much to not give him a mate, he will have one regardless of who it is)? Elain would be left alone. It's because I like her and Azriel and Lucien and all characters involved in this that I ship Elucien. I want everyone to be HAPPY.

And I think Gwyn and Az would be a good fit for each other. Their love towards each other could be as healing as I perceive Elucien's to be. At the end of the day, wether it's Elriel or Elucien and Gwynriel (or something else), SJM's stories are about love that heals.

Please try to answer (if you must) with respect and valid arguments. Attacking me will just prove my point.

How would Azriel smelling the bond between Lucien and Elain, but not Nesta and Cassian's help the theory that Lucien and Elain aren't real mates? If anything it would help the anti Nessian theories (not me though, that's my fav ship of all time; we ship, defend and love Nessian in this house). I really don't see the point E/riels are trying to make here but ok I guess...

We, the Elucien and Gwynriel fans, will enjoy the books in peace because we like both Lucien and Azriel, both Gwyn and Elain. Unlike the other side, who hate Lucien and Gwyn, they will have to accept Elain and Azriel with these two hot redheads that they hate so much sooner or later, or simply abandon the fandom.

In any case, it's all profit for our side. Our endgame couples, Elriel fans being forced to read them or disappearing from the fandom to go cry in the corner.

as someone new to acotar, I really didn't have a fav ship, but engaging with people here made me pick a side. Elriel are so nasty and mean spirited. They accuse other of the very things they do. Like you are the ones that use Elain as your insert for "dating" Azriel and don't treat her like a person.And now you are so blinded to it, you defend that ship with so much venom and attack everyone else, because truly you feel like it's an attack on your own person, since you self inserted through Elain. I like Elain. I like Azriel as well. I like all characters involved in this. Your hate made me an elucien/gwynriel, and now I love these ships for their own reasons. Eluciens and gwynriels are so sweet and understanding. I don't see them coming over to your side, but you elriels are always on ours. that's very telling...

can't wait for them to find this and start attacking me, that will surely NOT prove my point
