I haven't uploaded anything in weeks- (Lazy af art too q-q)
The man's read Hemingway's a fairwell to arms in canon essentially (Mha hyperfixation, can ya tell?)
Anyway- Under the cut are like, 6 head canons for him
H E A D C A N O N S
He can't quite evenly disperse electricity (or energy in general) across his body like with OFA. However, he can concentrate it in specific area of his body and can cloak his entire body with electricity (Just the base powers of electrification. Though, without his sharp-shooter if he tries using a normal discharge it goes everywhere like a spider web (canon).
2. Moreover to 1, he can use the concentrated electricity (e.g. At his legs) to help power up his movements, like an energy coil (sort of like Fa Jin). With that, he can propel himself in the air, punch/kick harder and generally move much faster.
3. He's not unintelligent or quite exactly a dumbass- He just does everything imaginable but pay bloody attention (possible adhd, idk) to classes that aren't literature (he loves reading especially the classics) or art. Like, you'd catch him reading The Great Gatsby during a science class- If he doesn't find it interesting, it just goes right over his head. If he did manage to lock in though he would be placed at least top 15 for the mid terms.
4. When he short circuits, it only hurts for second when he electricity interfere's with his brain signals, temporarily disrupting them. When he's short circuited, he's essentially just existing, and can barely register anything around him. The thumbs up and smile? It's auto pilot, why's it auto pilot to that? Because he'd rather people laugh at him, than worry about him (It's a bit of a story tbh).
5. Kaminari's hair color essentially inverted- Like, in childhood the black bolt of his hair on his bangs used to be yellow, while the rest of his hair was black. Like how the Todoroki's hair color slowly changed to white (e.g. Touya). It started changing more to blond after his quirk manifested. Bonus, him and Sero were childhood friends.
6. So, 2 million volts is a shit ton, right? Well, yeah- But it could be way more if he ups his amps (Currently it's very low, which keeps his volts from being fatal). So, Kaminari actually learns to integrate amperage control into his quirk training- The actual volts are the pressure of voltage he's exerting, while the amps are the flow of electricity. If he controls the amount of electricity flowing (amps), it's easier to control, and to not short circuit- While ALSO giving his quirk a major power boost as what actually makes voltage lethal, are amps. (Random: Kaminari uses the chocolate fountain for the metaphor here lol. OHM's Law was a pain for him to learn.).
Excuse me sir-! NO ONE TOLD ME WE WERE GOING TO BE HAGGLED FOR AN UN-PAYABLE INTEREST LOAN AMOUNT, STALKED, BLACK MAILED AND FORCED INTO DOING THEIR LABOUR TO REDUCE SAID LOAN BY THE EQUIVALENT OF A CRIME SYNDICATE X FRENCH MAFIA!?!!?!?!? (In a damn Pokémon game too)
I kid you not, the boi has a base attack stat of 125- HE THRASHES THE RANKED ZA BATTLES SO HARD (And I just started playing like, 3 and a half hours ago-)
