Summary:
Edd is surprised when he gets new neighbours tha move in across the street from him. He thinks nothing of it, until he catches a glimpse of the boy across the street.

So I have made a PowerEdd AU where the main trio all have superpowers of some sort, and I’m just gonna share it here as I’m really happy with it!!!
The main characters are Edd (Of Course), Tom, and Matt with the villains being Tord, Paul, Patryck and Eduardo (Anti-Hero). Other characters include Mark, Jon, Laurel, Todd (Yes, Todd), Kim, Katya, Catherine, Bing and Larry.
The basic plot is that after the events of PowerEdd, both Edd and Eduardo kept their powers, but whereas Eduardo went into hiding after his defeat, Edd became an overnight celebrity.
After an incident at home, Edd also discovers that Tom has powers too and is ECSTATIC about it, so (much to Tom’s dismay) Edd starts training him as his apprentice and sidekick with Matt being relegated to their ‘guy in the chair’ (Monitoring crime rates and stuff).

Matt got kidnapped by Tord after a mission gone wrong and was experimented on, giving him powers. After seeing how reckless Edd got when he found out about Tom’s powers, he dreads to think of how he’ll react when he finds out about him, so he makes the decision to keep his personal life and hero life separate.
No One knows that he is the Vain Vanisher, and he’ll keep it like that for as long as he lives.

Summary:
Late at night, Edd gets a text from someone who he’d never thought he would see again - this then leads to a joyride and a reconciliation.
*CONTEXT - This takes place after ‘The End’ and in the new houses as I thought it’d make sense for the story I’m writing.*
After another failed attempt to destroy Christmas, Tom falls off the roof and damages his hoodie - Matt notices and decides to do something nice for once.
*CONTEXT - This is set after 'The End', but takes place in the old house as some of the shorts take place there and I thought the house would be a nicer set piece.*

Christmas was the bane of Tom’s existence and he wanted to make it known to anyone who crossed his path. You decorate your house? He’d try to shoot the decorations down. You put up your Christmas Tree? He’d burn it down. Every time that the wretched holiday was mentioned around him, he would be filled with immense hatred for anything and everything related to it. He wasn’t ashamed of it, but rather was proud that he could see past the over-commercialism of the time and took pride in destroying it and reducing it to nothing but ash. Yes, Tom loathed Christmas, and no one could quite understand why.
The same hatred for the holiday could not be found in his other roommates, however.
Edd and Matt were… easily pleased, to put it lightly - especially Matt. The two loved this time of year for completely different reasons. Edd loved Christmas because he resonated with what the meaning of the holiday truly meant - to show love and compassion to others who were less fortunate and be united together by kindness that every human has the capacity to show. The same couldn’t be said about Matt. Matt loved Christmas because he thought the colours ‘brought out his perfect features’ and the decorations purely brought him joy - plus, of course, the idea of getting and giving gifts excited him.
So that brings us to now - the brunette and ginger (Though, he was adamant that his hair colour was ‘Strawberry-Blonde) were currently placing more decorations on their tree while some cheesy holiday movie played on the TV in the background. Matt was focusing on the left side while Edd focused on the right. As the two continued to decorate, they started to ponder about the whereabouts of their other disgruntled roommate - a question that was soon answered after a rather loud *THUD* was heard from outside. Edd groaned in exhaustion.
“Really? This again?” Edd questioned. “This is the 19th time he’s done this.” The cola addict put down the ornaments he was once holding and headed to the front door to ‘greet’ the clearly drunken man. Matt’s piercing blue eyes followed Edd as he went to go fetch Tom, making sure that this wasn’t an excuse for Edd to get away from him - past interactions from a certain scarlet hoodie wearing roommate had now left him with an urge to check that his company was wanted and appreciated. This very same urge caused him to also put his box down and join Edd at the front door.
Outside, the crisp white snow (a rarity in itself in England) had blanketed the streets of Durdum Lane and its neighbouring houses. There were decorations displayed outside that further illuminated the streets alongside the streetlamps that stood tall and stretched down the road - and, there was something that, normally, shouldn’t be there. A 5’10 drunken man laying face down on the ground with a shotgun nestled next to him where he had just plummeted from the roof. Both of the boys still inside narrowed their eyes and just sighed, the taller and stronger of the two heading out into the chill to retrieve their grumpy friend. Matt watched as Edd slung Tom over his right shoulder with ease and carried him in towards the couch so that he could warm up. Just as Matt was gonna shut the door, he could’ve sworn that he saw a piece of navy fabric disrupting the pristine glisten of the snow, but wherever it was, it had been covered with another blanket of the stuff, causing Matt to simply shrug it off and shut the door.
And there it was again. That urge to know that he was being included, that he was valued, that he was wanted. He joined Edd and a slightly conscious Tom near the fireplace, observing as the brunette tried to get Tom to sober up with a glass of water he’d gotten from the kitchen - but also taking note of the strange out of place threads now present on the Ska lover’s navy hoodie, more specifically, around the area where the front pocket should have been. There was other damage to the iconic hoodie too, but it was less of a problem, the sleeves were tattered and a patch of a slightly lighter shade of blue that Matt had sewn on after a run in with an ‘Old Friend’ had completely become unstitched and was hanging on by a thread. The condition of his friend’s most treasured clothing item caused his overactive imagination to spiral into all the possible outcomes of how his friend would react when he - eventually - was conscious enough to form a sentence, which he thankfully didn’t have to wait long for an answer to.
The next few moments were… kind of a blur. Matt had learned to dissociate from a young age whenever an argument started, so by the time Edd and Tom had started yelling at each other, his mind had basically zoned out. What he can remember, however, was that the argument started after Edd had pulled up Tom on Christmas hatred and his drinking habits and Tom didn’t like that, probably because he was irritated about the hoodie that had been perfectly fine until now - Just another thing that this forsaken holiday had taken from him. Matt only understood that the argument was over after he heard both doors to each boy’s room *SLAM* at the same time.
Jesus Christ… I didn’t realise how heated it got. Maybe I should’ve said something, it might not’ve ended like-
The fashionable young man was pulled out of his thoughts by a blob of navy fabric now discarded on the living room floor that he immediately recognised as Tom’s hoodie. He must’ve thrown it off at some point - probably despising the fact that it no longer felt right to him. Being the curious type, Matt picked it up to further inspect and assess the damage.
Once after a long drinking binge, Tom had blurted out that the hoodie had meant a lot to him because it was the last thing his dad had given to him before his passing, so that’s why he never really took it off. Matt, despite being one of the dumbest people alive, could always read people extremely well - so he knew that the hoodie basically being destroyed had definitely (at the least) upset the eyeless man. Matt turned to the direction of his roommates’ rooms and could hear the quiet strumming of a bass guitar coming from Tom’s room while the low sound of some YouTuber could be heard from Edd’s room - something both of them did when they needed to calm down. As the noise filled the sudden silence of the house, the urge awoke once more within Matt.
Go to bed so you can be included. You’ll have something to talk to them about in the morning.
The thoughts in his head kept screaming at him to fulfill his urge. To fit in and be like his other housemates so they wouldn’t hate him, to also be mad at Tom for almost ruining Christmas again, yet his body didn’t move. He couldn’t bring himself to be mad at the alcoholic for something that he would do yearly as he had learned that it was just his personality, and he couldn’t hate him for something he… liked about him. Yeah… liked…
He averted his gaze to the tattered piece of fabric that he was holding in his hands, he’d never seen the bassist without it - The iconic hoodie was integral to his identity. His urges wanted to be fulfilled, but another part of him felt a twang of pity for the man. He wanted to do something nice for him, it was Christmas after all. He smiled to himself, switched off all the lights and electronics still left on in the house, and went upstairs to his loft room, hoodie in hand, to search for his sewing materials.
Early morning light seeped through Tom’s open curtains, causing him to wake up quite early for him. The day was upon him where he’d have to wait in his room until either Edd or Matt called him down for food because of his disdain for the holiday - under normal circumstances, he’d be totally fine with that, but the fight that he’d had with his artistic roommate last night had left him uncertain of whether his presence was wanted or not. He might have to just leave before the other two idiots woke up so as to not disturb them and just let them be - he did say some very harsh things to both of them, after all; though he wasn’t exactly sure if Matt had heard him or not.
He dragged himself out of bed and grabbed everything he’d need - phone, checked headphones, flask, keys, hood- oh right. A jacket will have to do, much to Tom’s dismay. Just as he was about to leave his room, the door bumped on something outside. He peeked his head out to see what it was.
The package was small and rectangular, as well as very clearly painted with a black and white checkered pattern and dark blue tape around the edges. On the top, held in place by more dark blue tape, was a piece of paper reading ‘For Tom’ in messy but organised handwriting.
Curious, he brought the package into his room and shut the door to open it. He thought it was from Edd, something telling him that this was bad news, but when he took the note off and unfolded it, he was surprised to see that the package - better yet, present - was from Matt.
Matt, the most vain and narcissistic person he knew, had gotten him something? This had to be some kind of joke, right? He continued reading:
‘To Tom,
I know your you’re not the biggest fan of Christmas, but I wanted to do something special for you since I know how much you’re your hoodie meant to you. I hope you like it :)
Merry Christmas Tom.
~ Matt.’
After reading the note, he carefully opened the package to find that Matt had completely fixed it as if it were brand new. If there was one thing Matt was good at, it was definitely stitching and mending clothes as he’d do it all the time, even as a kid. The front pocket of the hoodie was the only part that was out of place, but even then it still looked decent. The front pocket was now a black piece of fabric that Tom instantly recognised to be from Matt’s old hoodie that he’d wear all the time back in the day, as it still had the tiny embroidered ‘Hutchinson’ near the bottom left corner that he’d done to separate it from another housemate’s hoodie. The embroidery had slightly decayed, but you could still tell that it read out Matt’s surname as clear as day.
Tom stared at the hoodie for a moment and then slid it on, comforted by the familiar smell and texture of it. He slid his hands into his new pocket and was pleased to find that the texture was almost identical to the feel of his old pocket. Matt had done a good job fixing it and he would thank him later, maybe when Edd was asleep. He was snapped out of his comfort by a *PING* from his phone - opening it to discover that it was a message from Edd, apologising for the way he acted last night and telling Tom that if he wanted to leave for the day he was welcome to, just to let him know, and with that, Tom had gathered the rest of his stuff and put them into his hoodie pocket, as well as a jacket to keep him more warm, and left the house, texting Edd to let him know.
For the first time since he was young, a thought entered Tom’s mind as he strolled down the icy streets, music playing through his headphones.

Me and my friends are going comic con soon and tomska is gonna be there, we want to ask him to sign eddsworld merch but we’re not sure if that’ll be respectful since we know he doesn’t associate with it anymore. Can anyone give us some advice on wether we should or not?

Kyle has now fully adjusted and is comfortable with himself. He has let his hair grow out and has gotten back into the habit of tying his hair up again. He has more of a sense of style and is finally (after 6 seasons) genuinely happy.
It won’t last long though.
