Here's my very self-indulgent jayvik subnautica au! Some thoughts below that contain spoilers from the game (I have not quite finished below zero myself so please don't spoil the end game for me!)

● A little while after Ryley returns from planet 4546B, Jayce and Viktor are sent there to research Architect technology. They hope it could make human lives better

● Viktor especially loves field work since swimming puts much less strain on his body. He spends hours in the sea scanning things, often without proper gear and taking unneccessary risks and Jayce is losing his mind a little because of it

● Some time later they are relocated to sector zero. Viktor meets Al-an and is very intriqued by the concept of transferring conciousness to a different container. He and Al-an start building a body for them both
