The idea of reality trying to make sense of them is interesting, though! Like in a game when two surfaces share the same position, you get what is known as "z-fighting" where the two objects flicker between themselves.

i was doing a 1999 bounty that had me go into the techrot mines, and i had the dark red flashing thing that normally happens before Stalker shows up (in retrospect I think it was just a combination of coincidental lighting/sound effects and me moving my camera) and i had a split second of like "STALKER HERE??? IN 1999???"

which made me think of a hilarious scenario where Stalker does show up to murder Drifter in 1999, and Drifter is so baffled by what they're witnessing they're just like:

Stalker: You will pay for the murder- Drifter: wait how are you here Stalker: Drifter: who's looking after your child???? Stalker:

then the awkward afterwards where the Hex were like sooo who was that and they're like "oh thats my stalker."

The Hex: Your what Drifter: Yeah, he stalks me. Tries to kill me multiple times a week. Even after I helped deliver his baby. Gotta admire his dedication to the bit, huh? The Hex: The Hex: Sure.

this is, somehow, one of the more normal things the Hex learn about Drifter.
