supernocturncl:
“I’ll have to take your word for it, I didn’t know you pre-baby–” Mal countered before cocking his head and voicing the joke his mouth refused to hold back. “–or before the Dawn of time? Anyway, according to your tab, that’s only shot number two.” A sly grin tugged at the corner of his mouth as he filled two more shot glasses and placed them in front of her. “Buuut thanks to some very generous patrons, you’re now up to five.”
“I mean I got knocked up pre-baby, that should say something?” she said before bursting into laughter at his joke. “You are always so funny.” she said fondly, before blinking a little as she tried to make sense of his words, glancing around to see who else was around before turning back to Mal. “Oooh, you think I’m getting laid today?”
ffscatarina:
“No worries, I’m honestly doing the same.” Cat admitted. She didn’t usually tend to drink so much, but when she did, she went hard especially since her metabolism tended to be so tough most of the time. “I’d say it was around your fifth one actually, but wasn’t exactly keeping count.” The other woman teased.
“Good for us.” she grinned widely. “Oh, I am going to have the worst hangover tomorrow.” she chuckled as the other told her that it was her fifth drink, quite unsure if she was joking or not. “But I am honestly going to ignore all thoughts about that and focus on the now.”
helicphilic:
“ I’M NOT JUDGING YOU , ” enzo says , head tilting slightly as he regards her . he shrugs at her next words . “ why would i have been counting your shots ? ” the male asks , taking a sip of his own drink .
“That’s good.” she seemed happy with his response before pouting a little as he continued to speak. “Counting isn’t hard when you’re sober.” she pointed out but shrugged and smiled happily. “I am sure Mal is keeping track.” she said and pointed at her bartender friend who was tending to another customer at the other end of the bar. “He’s also my DD, I think.. unless I need to go home before his shift ends.” She frowned ever so slightly before asking the other brightly. “Can you be my DD?”
Location: The Lost Shepherd ( OPEN )
“Don’t judge me, it’s not often I get to go wild these days.” Skye pouted. Ever since she had gotten pregnant her visits to the bar had stopped abruptly but now that Dawn was eating solids, she could start to relax a little and man, did that feel good. “Was that like my third shot? Fourth? I wasn’t keeping count.” she chuckled as she downed her shot of tequila.

INTERACTION: Renee & anyone (open starter) LOCATION: The Book Stop
“Why shouldn’t my mom apologize? She was the one who - I’m so sorry, Denise, I’m going to have to call you back.” She promptly tried to press the end call button on her phone, but it took her far longer as someone came up to the counter. “How much did you hear of that? Actually, you know what, let’s pretend that didn’t happen. How can I help you?”
“Um, I heard a lot of it.” Skye admitted with an apologetic smile on her features as she placed the small pile of baby story books that she had come to purchase on the table to be billed. “Oh, I can do that, I can pretend -- although, just one thing before I start pretending -- I do feel like Denise is wrong, parents should apologize when they fuck up.” she added matter of factly. “Pretending starting now, promise.”
OPEN STARTER | rosie cafe
“what are you getting?” leo asks, turning to the person in line behind him. “c’mon. i’ll buy you a coffee. what do you want?”
Skye had simply been humming to herself as she waited to get her morning coffee, a smile on her lips as the other spoke to her. “Aw, that’s so sweet of you, are you sure?”
OPEN STARTER LOCATION - meijer’s grocery store
Ryland wasn’t much of a social person and so often times when he was seen out and about in town, it wasn’t for a social exchange. Much like today, he was trying to shop without getting into any conversations. That was unlikely though in a town this size. Everyone seemed to know who he was and Ryland hated that. He had his hands full of groceries, always thinking he wouldn’t need a basket when he arrived, and was trying to balance a bunch of bananas on top when the whole thing went toppling over and he cursed under his breath before kneeling down to start picking things back up when he noticed someone else rushing over to help him. “Sorry, you don’t have to help me I’m fine. I appreciate it but I don’t want to bother anyone.”
Skye had decided to tag along with her brother to the grocery store even though her kitchen was fully stocked and she needed nothing much, except of course, one thing Skye could never buy enough of nowadays was diapers. She went with Dawn to get some before she went back to the aisle where Ryland was, chuckling when she saw someone helping him with picking up things off the floor, walking towards him just as the other left. “You didn’t get a basket again?” she asked him with an amused roll of her eyes before taking the things from him and putting it in her basket.
