Mutual Aid 👋 Time Sensative
Hey ♡ Ya Boys getting evicted bc he's on rental assistance and my landlord has threatened to call the cops to get us off the property if we don't pay or quit by the second of February [02/02/2023] (Illegal, very illegal, Refuses to answer my court response, I cannot pay, I am getting rental assistance.)
so here's some backstory (scroll for TL:DR)
For a few months in 2021 I had E-Begged, cried, and offered art for assistance to get out of small town Panaca. No jobs, no library, no wifi and my mom on drugs and practically going crazy. Me, My fiance, and our cat just desperately wanted to go where I know- 3 hours back to vegas. Our shit had gotten destroyed half a dozen times over by sewage flooding, and by the time we could leave? A giant hole in the backyard, no food in our stomachs, and my mom spiraling worse and worse.
The help of very- EXTREMELY kind people here on Tumblr, on Twitter, and even a few from tiktok had helped us get the money to pack everything up, go back to Vegas, get a place to rent. I have already been through four jobs- A box fell on my head, they fired me to not pay my compensation. The company went under, everyone was forced to mass quit. They fired me after 4 hours. And I got fired for crying on the job from stress and being unable to get to work due to a 2 hour bus ride being unattainable for swing shifts.. I was hired for grave yard.
I've gotten rental assistance from churches, I'm in the CHAP rental assistance applications for Nevada, I'm on EBT- My fiance is in the medical process to get on disability, but new laws count *hobbys* as a valid reason to deny you for disability.
My landlord legally is not allowed to Evict us, he wants us out by the second- I am trying to drag this out longer, if I'm able, but he's threatening to call the cops and while I do have the paperwork from the Civil Justice court, I don't know if that will be enough.
I'm putting in more and more job applications, i feel like an old person calling and even going in to check to see if they've gotten the applications, only for them to be like.. check online.
I'm at my wits end, I have an elderly dog now, I can't even afford a security card or food card to give me more options. No job even pays for them anymore, I'm crying everyday and don't know what to do. I feel horrible having to come back, to beg, to help keep a roof over our heads. Please, Tumblr, I come to you for help again.
TL;DR: I keep losing jobs, I am stressed, I am worried for my fiance and my pets. My landlord is illegally evicting us and I don't know what to do but come and ask for help. [Date of eviction: 02/02/2023 or the second of February]
