I’ve moved away from my blog and have transitioned to a new digital presence, if anyone is interested in that kind of thing. Head over to www.skyler.me to check it out.

Listening to Public Service Broadcasting's album "The Race for Space" & Sketching. When the kids & wife are away I get real weird real fast. http://flic.kr/p/r6vw2A
A study in sloth. Just a quick sketch for fun.
I’ve been reading a great history of the world, and worked up this sketch of Charles the Hammer, ruler of the Franks and victor against ‘Abdul Rahman Al Ghafiqi in the Battle of Tours in the year CE 732 without a calvary.
This battle stemmed the tide of the Muslim advance of Europe and is remembered in a way similar to the American Civil War Battle of Gettysburg as a turning point of history.
For better or worse, Charles the Hammer’s victory in the Battle of Tours established a Christian controlled Europe and set the stage for the High Middle Ages.
From my daughter & I to all of you, merry Xmas from the dragons of Berk!
Now loading 2015...
These past 6 months with the talented team at Left Plus Right have been really great, and I'm looking forward to what 2015 will hold!
Happy Holidays from Left Plus Right!
I know I've posted a couple shots of my home office at various stages, but it finally feels "done." For now ;)
This time of year I can't wait to get outside, and I'm fortunate that my family will indulge and rough it a bit with me.
Here's the photo album of our weekend camping trip. Be warned, there is a close-up of my hobbit feet.
An American's guide to Europe. We basically know nothing.
I intentionally skipped a connecting flight in New York City so I could spend 6 hours exploring. It was an impulsive decision I do not regret. Check out my album on Flickr.
I won't make too much of a black cat crossing my path in the city of Edgar Allen Poe. on Flickr.
Now this, this is a man cave. Circa 1890, that is. Check out the rest of the photo album on Flickr.
Many dads buy toys for themselves and lie by telling everyone "it's for the kids." I could at least be less overt about it.
Left Plus Right internal Branding & SWAG - I've been part of the team for nearly 3 months, and I'm enjoying our work together very much. They already had the L+R logo seal; I was tasked with building out a more complete ID system complete with SWAG like coasters we could send to our clients and team shirts we could wear to an upcoming conference.
Find out more about what we do at leftplusright.com.
Lame dragon sketch.
This guy is just sort of hanging out or something. Just keeping the illustration muscles from atrophying.
Cozy the Bear illustration spotted on the road today.
Stay Sunny.
My daughters regularly remind me that life is too short to wait for Summer to be over.
